My kind of theater!
Originally opened as a vaudeville house in 1907, the historic Rose Theatre in downtown Port Townsend features film, opera, dance and theatre from around the globe. With delicious popcorn, plus local beer and wine, the Rose is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Every event is personally introduced!

Classic old-timey theater with a personal touch
Sure the screen is a little smaller and may not have all the bells and whistles of the Mall theatres but the charm oozes out of every corner of this retro jewel! Plus when have you ever had the manager bounce up on stage and play trivia with you before a show...probably never...except here. So, settle into your velety seat with a freshly poured beer. wine or hard cider and bask in a time when movie theatres were more than just a vechicle to stream your movie; they were part of the entertainment experiance.

Nice Atmosphere, Charming Theater
The seating in this theater is a collection of used, comfortable soft furniture. There are individual seats, love seats and sofas. Before the room is darkened, there is a lovely view of the water surrounding Port Townsend. Food service was varied and quite good. I like the choices of hot and cold foods, not just the typical candy and sodas. Enjoy a glass of wine with your food while watching the film.
