Great shows!

Great experience seeing the Sound of Music and Music man in Leavenworth. Maria is outstanding in the lead and everyone does a great job. Very friendly staff and great locations. Sky Hill theater is up a hill but they do have a shuttle bus for Sound of Music. Fish Hatchery is flat and shorter walk for Music Man. It will cool down at night so you may want a light covering. Seat cushions available for a dollar and members receive free. Use your phone light to have better vision returning to your car as the lighting is not great. Will be back!

An absolute MUST if staying in Leavenworth - But Plan Ahead.
We saw The Sound of Music production again this year. The setting is really beautiful in the evening. Shuttle bus from the parking lot up to the amphitheater on the side of the mountain for people who need assistance. The production is generally done by locals, but is very well done. This year's lead performer was an outstanding actress with professional training at the Manhattan School of Music and Arts - beautiful voice and excellent actress. Three hours in duration with a small band and outdoor stage. The troup also does a couple of other productions in July and August. They sell out very early, so go to the website before May and get on the alert list for tickets when they go on sale in June.

    Perfect for every age
We go every summer. It never gets old. We have taken our 5 year old grandson, who LOVED it. The cast is a mix of professionals and locals, all have been top notch. The walk up the hill from the parking lot is refreshing and a nice way to let go of the day before sitting and enjoying the view and breeze at the theater. Locals offer seat pads and also water and snacks at intermission. Cast members greet patrons as they walk up the hill and then show you to your seat. They also greet patrons after the play. There is an optional shuttle up and down the hill. The whole experience is one of our can't miss events every summer!
