Great experience seeing the Sound of Music and Music man in Leavenworth. Maria is outstanding in the lead and everyone does a great job. Very friendly staff and great locations. Sky Hill theater is up a hill but they do have a shuttle bus for Sound of Music. Fish Hatchery is flat and shorter walk for Music Man. It will cool down at night so you may want a light covering. Seat cushions available for a dollar and members receive free. Use your phone light to have better vision returning to your car as the lighting is not great. Will be back! See more..

My family hiked the Icicle Gorge Loop Trail. There's actually two different trails starting at the trailhead, the river trail and the view trail. We took the river trail which is 4 miles in length and a relatively easy hike. This trail follows along the Icicle Creek which is a wide and fast moving creek. It was a very beautiful hike with lots of great photo opportunities. You walk across several bridges one of which is a single log bridge (pretty cool!). The hiking trail is very well developed and safe for kids and dogs. There is a $5 fee to park your car at the trailhead parking lot, but you can also use a Northwest Pass and a few other passes instead (not the Discovery Pass). See more..

Highly recommend the winter horse sleigh ride. I booked this trip in September for our family who would be traveling from various states for Christmas. Susan, from Eagle Creek gave me a call the week before stating one of their sleigh drivers had suddenly left due to illness and asked if my reservation was flexible. After explaining to her that our reserved time was set due to our family visiting, Susan worked to make sure our sleigh ride would still happen. The Ranch was truly a Winter Wonderland. Our wonderful sleigh driver, Rylee, along with the beautiful horses made this a day to remember. They have nice outdoor seating and are being very responsible during the pandemic – requiring masks, contactless ordering etc. We got a flight of 3 ½ oz pours and then decided to get the flight of “cocktails” (1/2 oz versions of whisky sour, Manhattan and old fashioned). The view from the parking lot to the bridge was spectacular, and we took a lot of photos from both sides of the bridge of the river. If you are fortunate enough to get picked out of the lottery, I would recommend sleeping at Colchuck Lake and the trying Aasgard Pass the next day. It is a tough hike but the result is worth it. The Enchantment Lakes atop Aasgard pass feel as though you have stepped into a different world. Seeing every star at night is also a pretty cool bonus. Make sure to have a water filter! Here are realistic hiking times: - The hike up to Colcheck from the trailhead takes about 3.5 Hours Up, 3 Down. - To get to Aasgard Pass, you need to go around the lake which takes about 45 minutes - Aasgard Pass takes about 4 Hours Up, 2.5 Down. First time going and tried tubing at Ski Hill. It was so much fun. Ticket is good for 1.5 hours which is really nice. No crowds or long lines. They rope tow you up a hill and then haul you out onto a well groomed run that has a few thrilling jumps at the end. Great for a first time ski family too and rates are very reasonable.
