We had a fantastic day with Lisa who led our kayaking tour on Lake Tahoe. She was incredibly informative- teaching us lots about the lake and it’s fascinating history. Moreover, her patient nature made us all feel at ease in the water. We would like to thank her for making the activity so enjoyable ! See more..

    Tahoe Whitewater Tours image
We were a party of 5 and wanted to go whitewater rafting. We did the afternoon trip bc our teens did not want to wake up early. It didn’t matter what time of day we went bc the staff was so energetic and amazing. We felt super safe and distanced with everyone. Each group had their own raft and guide. The bus was social distances. They had tons of hand sanitizer. Masks required until getting in the raft. Lunch box was our guide (yes that is what he asked us to call him). He was so fun, told great stories, played w the teens, and was an expert at his job. We had a blast. There was an amazing photographer who took pictures (highly recommend you buy them it is well worth the $45). We truly felt this company was professional and fun. We would definitely come back and do a level 4 rapid. See more..

  5. 5.0 Tahoe Vista Treetop (72 reviews)
    - So happy to make fun summer memories even in the time of Corona virus.
    Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
    Tahoe Vista Treetop image
Great time challenging ourselves on the ropes courses and having fun on the ziplines. We're in our mid 50's with our 20 year old kids. Corona virus precautions were in place. We wore masks during the check in, gear up and orientation - then they were optional once you're up in the trees. We stayed with our family group and it was not crowded due to reservations and limited numbers during each 2.5 hour time frame. Hand sanitizer at the end of each of the 9 courses too. Staff was very helpful and kind. t's a great activity in the great outdoors - views of the lake included! See more..
  6. 5.0 Tahoe Jet Boats (65 reviews)
    - Great North Tahoe boating experience!
Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Waterskiing & Jetskiing • Water Sports • Boat Rentals • Speed Boats Tours • Day Trips
    Tahoe Jet Boats image
Dave was awesome! Not the cheapest option, but a quality one. He was great with teaching our young adults to wakeboard and ski. Our family group of 7 ranged in ages from 21 - 78 and every one of us had fun. He took some wonderful photos and his little side kick Leo is the most adorable boat dog ever. My son called him the Customer Service Department. North Tahoe was definitely a great place to boat because we had lots of space and almost no other boats to work around. Beautiful drive there from South Lake Tahoe. Don't ignore the water shoes advice because the beaches to get down to the water are rocks and pebbles, not sand. It's the trade off for not having super crowded beaches and water space. Once you're on the boat, the beach is irrelevant. As an idea, if you have more than the 6 that's allowed on the boat, we rented a jet ski from another local boat company and rotated our extra people onto the jet ski every 30 minutes. It worked out great! See more..
  7. 5.0 Bike Truckee (59 reviews)
    - We'd rent from Bike Truckee again, in a heartbeat!
Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Bike Tours • Gear Rentals
    Bike Truckee image
We booked comfort bikes online, to ride the Truckee River Legacy Trail. When we walked in to Bike Truckee to pick-up the bikes, one of the shop owners called us by name and had the bikes ready to go. The bikes were beautifully maintained, no squeaks or rattles and the brakes and gears worked great! The tires were perfectly inflated and proved to be up to the challenge of local thorns (zero flats). Bike Truckee gave us directions to the trail. The bikes we rented were perfect for it and priced very fairly. We had so much fun on the first trail, we ended up riding into town and also completed the Martis Valley Trail. Super nice people, great organization and quality rentals! See more..

Great little town to visit. During the summer they have free concerts at the Truckee River outdoor theater. What a joy to attend! Truckee Thursdays are fun too. They block of the main street and it is filled with local venders and there's a beer garden too. Great place to bike. I will be back. See more..
  10. 4.5 Kings Beach State Recreation Area (208 reviews)
    - Great Family Spot - Beautiful Views
    Parks
Kings Beach State Recreation Area image
My family and I were on vacation in Kings Beach and we stopped to explore Kings Beach Park to help our girls (5 & 7) to burn off some extra energy. It was winter so it was just us and a handful of other people. There is a really nice play structure that the girls spent a long time playing on. The view is spectacular and it's a great spot to take photos. It's so wild to be able to stand on a beach see the nearby snow capped mountains. The water is so clear. You can almost walk to the end of the pier and still be able to see through it. Though I am sure that this place is very popular in the summer, I would recommend stopping here no matter what time of year you are passing through the Kings Beach area. See more..

Action watersports of Incline Village image
We did the 5 pm Sierra Cloud Catamaran 2 hour boat ride from the pier at Hyatt Incline. This was so much fun, we really enjoyed the experience. The captain and the two young women crew members were awesome. They sailed the catamaran and managed to serve us wine and beer and cheese and fruit. We also got a lot of information about Lake Tahoe and it's history from the musician and his music was also really good, from original songs to Jimmy Buffet. I highly recommend this is you're in the Incline village area. See more..

Voted at North America's best ski resort for three years in a row and host of the 1960 Winter Olympics, our legacy has maintained a vibrant ski culture and mountain energy that spans from village to peak. Its spirit of outdoor adventure is reflected by the views of Lake Tahoe’s translucent waters, and its inspiration is carved into the slopes of the Sierra mountains. 18. 4.0 Tahoe Gal Cruises (295 reviews)
    - Very enjoyable and relaxing
    Boat Tours • Sightseeing Tours
    Tahoe Gal Cruises image
Been on this boat several times. Recent was in 1:30 afternoon in late July and partly cloudy so not as hot as it would have been. The captain told us a lot of information about the lake from inception on way to Emerald Bay which I thought was very good. The captain played music and is open to playing something you like. It was not particularly crowded the day we went so we could sit anywhere. A beautiful lake to see by boat that you don’t see by car. The menu on boat is fairly good but is pricey. I would suggest eat before you go though unless want salad or hamburger. I do not recommend the nachos unless you like velveta type cheese. Good for all ages. Wear hat as best place to see everything is on top deck. See more..
