Rescue aviary and educational, beautiful, historical, enlightened environment
The birds in the cages and aviary are RESCUES. Isn't that AWESOME!!? They are very well cared for and very safe in the large habitat cages you see. NOT a zoo viewing situation at all. Please donate if you like the aviary... I did. I am not affiliated with the park or aviary.

So neat, especially the aviary
Pioneer Park is a large city park for Walla Walla. There is lots of green space. We mainly went to the aviary to look at the birds, and that in itself was a ton of fun activity. There are so many kinds that they have, even several types of peacocks. We even saw a big tortoise in the aviary slowly moving around. There is a large Little Free Library right next to the aviary too. Next time we'll explore more of the park, including the playground.
