3.0Sweetwater Flea Market(81 reviews) - Just keep looking Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Flea & Street Markets
Of course there are things that are overpriced but years ago I found a footstool with toll painting on top and it has lasted me forever. I’ve worn it out and would love to find another but no luck so far. I’m going back to look again soon. Just like any other flea market, you have to look for the treasures and go past the rest. Will did everything in his power to give us a noodling adventure and hook us up with a catfish. Unfortunately, it was just one of those days. Because we came up empty handed, Will offered us another trip next year. We will be taking him up on that offer. He was a great guide and lots of fun. I believe we will take him up on his advice and go out one day noodling and one day with a rod and reel. Looking forward to next year.See more..

3.5Crossville Flea Market(27 reviews) - Wear Your Walking Shoes Saturday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Flea & Street Markets
The largest flea market in Tennessee. Ample parking under the trees. No admission. Many vendors. You can find just about anything your looking for. Animals, collectibles, new items, crafts and yes even non perishable food. Its pretty huge, so be prepared for lots of walking. I bought a new p.o.w. flag that I needed to replace for only $5. Also bought goats milk bath soap that comes in many scents. There are plenty of food vendors. Our teenage grandchildren had a good time finding bargains. If your into flea markets, you'll like it here. I would recommend this for a day out if your in the area.See more..
3.5Riverfront Park(26 reviews) - Pleasant walk along the River, with some history mixed in Parks
We walked through the park today on the Greenbelt from the boat ramp to the swinging bridge, about 2.5 miles round trip. It was a beautiful walk along the river, very quiet, with a few families fishing and picnicking. No creepy people, and I even went in the bathroom, which was decent. There were a few geese, and some droppings, but it was not a nuisance. Signs ask that ducks and geese not be fed in certain areas, and also explain that the riverbank is left uncleared to discourage the birds. I was really surprised when I read all the poor reviews on here, AFTER we went! I noticed that most of those are old, so I wanted to update on the conditions we found today. We will go back to do more segments!See more..

My friends & I came from Chattanooga to participate in the haunted canoe trip. There was a wait before the next trip would begin even though we arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled 10pm trip. We were not aware that there would be a short hike beforehand and based on the response from the rest of the group, neither were they. The stories are based on true events and not too scary. The storyteller (Sam) was jovial and answered all of our questions as we walked. The canoe portion of the trip is somewhat intimidating if you've never been in a canoe, mainly because of the darkness. Overall it was a fun trip. See more..

3.5Big Cypress Tree State Park(18 reviews) - Sunday Walk Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Spent 2-3 hours State Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas
Big Cypress Tree State Park is named for the national champion bald cypress tree that once lived in the park. The tree was the largest bald cypress in the United States and the largest tree of any species east of the Mississippi River. In 1976, during a lightning storm, a strike caused the tree to die after living for more than 1,350 years. The park is a quaint, clean, and relaxing spot to enjoy nature’s purity and beauty. A variety of native wildflowers and trees may be seen such as showy evening primrose, black-eyed Susans, yellow poplar, bald cypress, and dogwood. Along with plant life, there is an abundance of wildlife at Big Cypress and the park is a popular location for birdwatchers. 3.5Rivermill Antiques(15 reviews) - good but nothing special Spent < 1 hour Antique Shops
What I saw in this place was the same type of items we saw everywhere we went in TN. They did have a lot of collectibles though (that's what we look for). Some of the booths were so cluttered we didn't even go into them for fear of knocking something over or tripping over something. You couldn't even get to the back of some booths. The steps leading to the second floor were steeo and I noticed some people having difficulty getting up and down. Some of the booths had very high prices and it made you wonder what the sellers were thinking. If you kept shopping you could probably find the same thing in another booth for less (I found what I bought for much less in another booth) . The people working there were very friendly and we enjoyed talking to them about the area.See more..

3.5Four Corners Yacht Club(13 reviews) - Simple, no frills boating experience Waterskiing & Jetskiing • Water Sports • Boat Rentals
We were in town for a bachelor party and were looking to rent a boat as one of our activities for the trip. We found this location, it was a bit away from Nashville, but it was available and catered to the size of our party which was huge bonus. They didn't require us to pay for a captain, which meant we were able to drive ourselves. The boat came with a slide, Bluetooth, and a cooler which was extremely convenient. There was also a restaurant on the dock that allowed us to grab a quick bite to eat before we headed out.See more..

3.5AK Bissell Park(11 reviews) - Ate Lunch, Then Rang Bell Spent 1-2 hours Parks
We brought our lunch to the picnic tables at public library (literally next door, but technically part of the park), and after eating, made our way to the Bissell Park, specifically the Friendship Bell. It is a very well-designed bell, and the area where it is installed is nice as well. Be sure to take advantage of the fact that you are allowed to ring the bell, using the wooden striker. This is certainly a unique experience, and one which is fitting for Oak Ridge, and worthy of a brief stop if you're in town.See more..

The Skate Center is close to the University and theTree Streets. Also many new apartment are under construction. It is just a couple of minutes from good eateries like The Battery, Tupelo Honey, and more. It is family owned and operated. The cost for day skating is very reasonable. It is a safe environment since kids cannot leave with anyone but their grown-up. They just put down new carpet and painted the floor in the skating area. My grandchildren and I have been several times this summer. In fact my grandson earned his skating belt-loop for scouts there this summer. Safe, reasonable, physically active, and fun. The course is well maintained and it has some challenging holes. The first hole is blind and it would have been helpful if the staff would have informed us to wait for the "bell" ring before teeing off. Carts are a little outdated, but other than that I would definitely recommend. The restaurant has the best wings in town!See more..
