After stopping to see the Bald River falls we decided to take the drive all the way through the mountains. It was a wonderful drive. We completely enjoyed it. If you find somewhere that has a map I would highly suggest it. I just wish the maps would have had more information on them I. Regards to what could be seen at each point, how far till you would be able to get food, where you could stope for a picnic or where it was safe to hike. I almost forgot which side of the road the look out points will be on. We didn’t have any cell service while on this drive so please please have a map. We didn’t get lost because I had a brochure with a small map. But didn’t know how long of a drive it was going to be. Have fun and enjoy it. See more..
We're Amish Heritage Welcome Center and Museum, and we've been an Amish museum and wagon tour service here in Ethridge, TN, since 2012. The Amish Heritage Farm Museum was one of the first Amish farms settled in Tennessee in 1944, when the Amish migrated from Ohio and Mississippi. It was a fully functioning Amish farm, until several years ago, when the family sold the farm and moved further out into the country. Today, due to the generosity of a local Amish family, both the Amish House and Dawdi Haus have been restored back to their original state, complete with period furnishings and artifacts from the 1944 era. A replica one room Amish school house was also added to the grounds and has been set up to accurately depict a local Amish school house. Our guided, educational tours offer a rare glimpse into Amish culture, and their daily lives. We offer tours, museums, a hen house with animals and authentic buggy rides.See more..

The visitor center is small yet welcoming. I like how it is by hotels. Masks are required to enter. . The place is neat and clean. I really like how everything is available to pick out like brochures. Postcards are not free like they are in most visitor centers. I paid 50 cents for each postcard. Gwen at the front desk was helpful. She gave me a bag to put brochures. I highly recommend this place to people who want to explore Clarksville and Tennessee. See more..

4.5Downtown Crossville(10 reviews) - Numbers of Things to Do Visitor Centers
Taking a slow drive through the old Downtown are, I stopped counting at 24 places I could visit. A walking tour of @7 or 8 short blocks, then cross the street is what I recommend. For food, you can go breakfast, lunch to dinner and a snack stop. There's weekend music at 2 locations and throw in the amphitheater for summertime events, along with a downtown Palace Theater. The architecture is worth taking time to visit...many buildings, structures and a couple interesting murals, along with building and site plaques. A military museum and military memorial Park, along with a stone museum, library and the Chamber are right there....take an hour or even half a day...plenty, plenty to see and do.See more..

The Chamber is a great asset to our little town. They work so hard and do a great job of bringing events to Livingston such as the annual October Falloween. We always have a booth at this event and it's a lot of fun (and great exposure for businesses, churches, and other organizations). Thousands of families come to this event and the kids take away bags of candy & treats and wonderful memories. The Chamber provides a nice meeting room and inform the public of all the attractions here and near-by. I get maps and brochures for visiting friends and family from the display tables in the foyer (also a good resource for people on vacation). When we moved here we attended the "Newcomers Dinner" and it was very helpful in orienting us to the area and the services/businesses available here.See more..

This is one of the Tennessee visitors centers. This site is about 3 miles in when traveling on I-40 out of North Carolina and into Tennessee. Like many of roadside stops it is designed to be able to pull directly off the road and into the parking lot. There is one main building painted grey up a hill from the parking lot. It looks like an old log cabin complete with rocking chairs on the front patio of the structure. Inside is a dark tile floor and wood on the desk facing the door. There appears to be plenty of parking. The main building is up a flight of stairs and a ramp. There is a person to greet you in the center room of this main building. As you enter the building, to the left are the restrooms and to the right, there is a room for informational brochures. The restrooms are a little dated but nice. The staff was very friendly and had plenty of information about the local area. It was a very easy and pleasant stop and I highly recommend it for visitors needing a rest stop or some information on the sites to see in the state.See more..
