Took the mid Ocoee tour. It took about three hours. Six of us in the raft with the guide Ky. Ky knew the river really well and guided in a way that had us navigate it safely while still getting wet and having lots of excitement in an adventure on the river. The staff was all very friendly and we were happy to go with a family owned outfit rather than one of the large outfitters - this also saved us o about $20 per person! This is a first class white water rafting team. The booking team is responsive and courteous. The guides are professional and personable. The overall experience was amazing. Recommend Matt as a guide, he has a great demeanor with all ages, explained what to expect prior to each set of rapids and provided clear and concise directions to allow the raft to get the best experience. Encourage reserving the upper and middle combination package. Highly recommend Outland Expeditions for first timers and those with previous experience.See more..

We were in the Nashville area for a wedding and wanted something that family members from three generations could experience. We signed up for the kids morning cruise with Captain Jim not certain what to expect. It was awesome for all! The kids were entertained with water guns, bubble makers, balloons, snacks and drinks. At our stop on the private island, we all were able to get into the river and cool off (temperatures were in the 100s while in the area). The kids paddled kayaks while the adults cooled off with a swim. On the return trip each of the kids was given a turn at the wheel. The cost was only $11 per person!See more..
Support this small business!!! Guides are experienced and know every inch of the river and focus on keeping small groups. The boats are slightly smaller and more agile than the bigger commercial rafting companies in the area. My boyfriend and I booked last minute and they were more than accommodating. Our guide, Jordan, one of the owners, was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, ecology, and movement of the river. If you are experienced and enjoy rafting, definitely do the full day trip, the Olympic rapids are SO much fun. The riverside lunch is catered by a local business and is one of the best I've had on a trip like this. 10/10 - would raft with this company again in a heartbeat.See more..

We had the good fortune to kayak with Tony and Katie... It was a beautiful day and we paddled across the Little Tennessee River and down Citico Creek... down lots of fingers with beautiful canopy and growth along the banks. Tony was an excellent guide sharing lots of history and information about the area, and both Tony and Katie were incredibly warm and charming. It was a wonderful experience and a highlight of our anniversary trip!See more..

Had a blast this past weekend on the backpacking overnight adventure with NOLI! I've had some experience with backpacking but never in 20 degree temperatures, so I was a little nervous. Minta (A.K.A. Blueberry) our trail guide was super knowledgeable on equipment and safety and put my fears at ease. She shared tons of great tips along the adventure and helped to built my confidence in taking on the trail. Minta is a pretty awesome human being; I didn't only learn a lot, I also had a great time and left feeling inspired. It is evident to me that the team at NOLI is all about safety, education and sharing their love for the great outdoors. I'll definitely be coming back for more classes!See more..
This was so much fun and relaxing i enjoyed our guide and lots of interesting points I had no idea about. I would definitely do this cruise, but if you do the 2 he cruise it will probably turn into 2-1/2 hrs which was great. The only thing is there is no bathroom break along the way so beware of that. Another thing is that the pontoon is covered but you might want to get some sun block to be safe. Another thing was that towards the end the bugs seemed to start biting so bug spray might be good to. This is great for a family. You will see birds and other animals which children i believe will love. Please go and enjoy your time, but if you bathroom issues might want to ask. See more..

We, however, contacted the owner Ben seeking a boat tour of the lake for about a dozen of us who have a hiking and outdoor club. Ben was helpful, immediately enthusiastic, and happy to create exactly what we needed. He acknowledged that the weather might be unpredictable and was prepared with an alternate date - which we needed when there was heavy rain on the original date. To be clear, this was not your typical, cushy, pontoon boat cruise. Reelfoot is a shallow, swampy lake - but that's exactly what makes it uniquely beautiful. Ben had the type of boat that allowed us to the far reaches of the lake - places a typical boat or tour provider probably could or would not have gone. We saw bald eagles, a variety of ducks and other waterfowl. We saw the various kinds of vegetation and the iconic bald cypress in every variety of setting. Ben and his colleague explained what were seeing and answered our questions. Ben is clearly interested in creating all sorts of custom outings that go way beyond his bread and butter. For our needs this charter was perfect and very much worth the investment.See more..
