Outstanding Overall Experience

This is a first class white water rafting team. The booking team is responsive and courteous. The guides are professional and personable. The overall experience was amazing. Recommend Matt as a guide, he has a great demeanor with all ages, explained what to expect prior to each set of rapids and provided clear and concise directions to allow the raft to get the best experience. Encourage reserving the upper and middle combination package. Highly recommend Outland Expeditions for first timers and those with previous experience.

    Thrilling and Professional
I bring my cross country team (18 of us) to North Georgia every summer for a team running camp. We are from Florida and running on the trails of GA, NC, and TN is a treat for us. Outland Expeditions is a "must do" on our visit and we have returned for 4 years consecutively. Many of the same guides are there every year so I know they have experience. Our group had three rafts and Madeline, Malone, and Corey were our guides. Corey was my guide and he is excellent. He assessed our group's ability and he was able to lead us to do many manuvers, surfs, 360s, etc that the other boats didn't do. We were even successful with surfing "Mission Impossible", all while feeling safe in the hands of his experience. It was a thrilling ride and I know my team loved it. I highly reccommend Corey. You can request him upon booking.

Great adventure except for the covid nightmare bus ride.
THis was our first trip down the Ocoee and I would highly recommend the river for someone who is looking for thrills. THis was a non-stop ride of class 3 and 4 rapids, probably one of the best I have ever done. The only thing we complained of was the lack of attention to Covid as a threat and changing policies because of it. The group that went down the river packed a school bus and mask wearing was not mandated (we went rafting in May on the French Broad river and they made people wear maskes and social distance on the bus). The guide who told us about the river took off her mask and shouted at the top of her lungs over the crowd and while she was an amazing guide who certainly has a future in the theater if this river thing doesn't work out, she was spewing droplets all over the bus and the people near her. Our guide was amazing except for a few racist remarks about other guests he had had on the river. THe guides went out of our way to make the trip really fun. "Surfing" rapids and spinning the boat. We had such an enjoyable time!! And I realize that making changes because of the virus is challenging. MAybe they could have taken a couple buses to get us all down to the river, or staggered the trips so fewer people would be on the bus at the same time.
