    - Strenuous trail - worth the effort

If you can handle a strenuous trail 1.8 miles up (3.6 miles RT) then this is a must do hike for you! We planned accordingly and the pay off of the view from the official end is totally worth it. You are NOT supposed to hike past the gate onto the actual chimney top but when we got to the top, people were on it coming down. Even if the trail was open, I would not attempt it; too treacherous. So still worth it to see the view at the end. See more..

Two couples & three dogs on this hike & we all had a great time! We did 7 miles & began the hike with the quick mile hike to the arches where we explored the tops as well. We continued our loop & were continuously amazed at every turn at the beauty. It truly felt like we were transported first to out west and then to a tropical island with the rocks & fauna. We followed a gorgeous creek for a while & I think it’s the prettiest creek I’ve ever seen. A couple of notes—there are two bathrooms at the trail head, there are stairs (at least in the route we took?)that are quite steep. Someone who struggles with normal stairs might find this too challenging. See more..

A wonderful day!!! The leaves are changing in color and falling fast. I love chasing the leaves in attempt to catch them as they fall, makes me feel like a kid again. I wore tennis shoes which is NOT the right thing to do. The leaves are wet. U have to climb many stairs which are covered in the leaves. Hand rail available as u cross over the top of the rock. Be safe and take ur time if u come to visit. I don't recommend bringing any kids to cross the rock bit they can play around it. See more..
