4.5Franklin Farmers Market(40 reviews) - A beautiful April morning to learn about Franklin and the local people Sunday: Spent 1-2 hours Farmers Markets
We had just arrived from Minnesota the previous night and needed a break from the driving and a taste of not-fast-food. Our dog was in hand, which we think was not technically allowed, but there were a few of them and nobody seemed to mind. At 9:30 a.m. on a Saturday, some of the food trucks outside had long lines, but we managed a couple bags of donuts from Ellie’s Donuts food truck. There was a singer playing on the patio which was a little short of seating. There are various different vendors of food, plants, vegetables and hard goods set up outside. Inside the historic Franklin Factory next door are more shops and protection from any inclimate weather. Many children and families were outside and parking was adequate. We loved it and would return.See more..

4.5Delano Community Farm Market(10 reviews) - Well worth the drive for freshness and quality vegetables. Sunday: Spent < 1 hour Farmers Markets
We drove over from Blairsville, Georgia on recommendation from friends. We were only disappointed that the bakery goods were already gone for the day. The fresh from the farm home grown vegetables were awesome. Huge ripe tomatoes, bushels of green beans, potatoes, squash, zucchini, lettuce and so much more were available for very modest prices. The freshness and quality was very evident. We would recommend this place for the goodness.See more..

Food stamp credits can be traded for same amount of wooden coins for purchases too.See more..
Locally grown produce typically does not come in full swing until the middle or end of July. The weather and crop failures of local farmers affects all markets that only only local producers (we do not allow resellers) Our vendors only sell what they or their families grow or make. We open early with whats available and sometimes that may only be handmade items with a little produce such as lettuce (cool weather crops) if vendors didn't get froze out that year. We have a great bunch of vendors, but they can not all attend every single market day. Emergencies arise, farms need attending, and sometimes you just need a break from farming and selling and need a vacation with your family. It's hard work and very time consuming.See more..
The market was interesting and more entertaining than expected. It was also a mild off-road adventure. The produce and treats were great, the positive messages were pleasantly unexpected, and the people were super nice. They even gave us the story behind their fancy old-timey non-powered adding machine. This is a must visit if you are in The Friendly City! Also, dress appropriately.See more..
