Whether you attend a service here or merely visit the historic site, St Paul's is not to be missed. The ambience and beauty of this old church, complete with the railing from the balcony where slaves were permitted to sit, allows one to step back into time and the history of the South. The stained glass windows are absolutely beautiful, and the services on Sunday are warm and welcoming. There's a modern hall behind the church for classes and social gatherings. It's located in downtown Franklin, steps from restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. A definite must see! See more..
5.0St. John's Episcopal Church(15 reviews) - "It would be worth dying if one could be buried in a spot.... Churches & Cathedrals
so beautiful as this" was supposedly said by Patrick Cleburne two days before he was killed at the Battle of Franklin. The church reminded him of his home church in Ireland and wandering through the grounds one understands his sentiment. Built as a "plantation chapel" (c.1842) by the Polk brothers for their families and slaves this simple yet beautiful structure is well worth a visit for not only the aesthetics of the building but the limited role it played in the WBtS (many of those who died at Franklin were buried in the churchyard before being moved "home" or to more "fitting" spots.) If you can visit on one of the few Sundays it is open or arrange a tour of the interior then even better.See more..
The cannon ball in the exterior wall was a highlight. The church is beautiful. The stair cases are lovely, but not conducive for any one that cannot walk or climb. They do have an elevator.See more..
5.0Denmark Presbyterian Church(4 reviews) - Historical and it's like stepping back in time. Points of Interest & Landmarks • Churches & Cathedrals
This church and the little community of Denmark, Tenn is one of the oldest in Tenn. You can see it as you drive into the country...lots of old cedar trees and visually you can just see what it looked like 150 years ago. I highly recommend a visit. The Britton Lane battlefield is just 4 miles down the road.See more..

My wife & I've been going here with my in-laws for a while & have enjoyed their services. They have both a contemporary service & traditional service. They have services for the children during the church services. They have several groups at the church to experience their church & grow your faith. Everyone that we've met there has made us feel right at home.See more..
5.0The Life Church(2 reviews) - Great Church and friendly Churches & Cathedrals This is a large church but with a number of campuses. The main campus, near Collierville, has plenty of parking, even for the disabled. The preaching is excellent; the praise and worship services are lively and the singing is very good. A further plus is the wide diversity of races, all melded together and friendly.See more..
5.0All Saints' Chapel(2 reviews) - Do not miss! Full of history and beauty! Churches & Cathedrals
Beautiful! Go when the sun is shining through the stained glass window above the entrance to the sanctuary. The stained glass windows in the foyer depict the history of the area. The school was a military during the civil war. Also near the choir area in front go right into a little room that commemorates soldiers. All of the stained glass windows in the sanctuary are amazing.See more..
