The staff are friendly and this place is busy. Looks like they might have live music at night and I'm sure this place would rock the dock. My husbands burger was one of the best he's had and my prawns were as I expected, but still yummy. They have plenty of giant fans to cool you off as this place can get very hot. The town has no movie theater, bowling, nightlife etc.. After searching online, my husband found Amvets. He called and we were invited out. When we arrived, we were met at the door by the bartender. We told her who we were and she signed us in. They were having karaoke. We bought drinks and took a table. Everyone was so nice and made us feel as if we were family. The karaoke was run by Vic and his lovely wife and the sound system was great. It was my husbands birthday and after many well wishes by such warm, wonderful people, we were bought several rounds of drinks. Being from England in a state like TN it’s somewhat worrying on how you might be treated and spoke to in a local bar with regular local people. But I was soon in my comfort zone and felt so welcome! The staff are excellent and very friendly! I learnt shuffle board which was fun and the locals take the game pretty seriously! You can basically ride in on your bike, Rhino, 4-Wheeler, IH tractor, and be MORE THAN WELCOME. John and Nikki decided to sell, and found the BEST buyers ever. Randy and Daphne Leger. They have kin all over Perry County and wanted a change from LA. They have added their Cajun spice to the place and the locals and outter towners LOVE to visit this place.
