4.5Wild Laurel Golf Course(69 reviews) - Best golf course in Tennessee! Saturday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM Golf Courses
Rivaled in beauty, only by The Great Smoky National Park, the views available from every hole are reminiscent of Laurel Valley's ridge-side neighbor ... Cades Cove. This challenging, yet playable, eighteen-hole regulation course, was designed by Edmund B. Ault, ASGCA, and features Bent Grass greens and Bermuda fairways. Changing elevation, meandering creeks, towering mountains, and an abundance of wildlife are at every turn. Although it is located inside a gated community, Laurel Valley Golf Course is open to public play and events, and offers practice areas, rental clubs, bar & 19th Hole.See more..
4.5Hermitage Golf Course(53 reviews) - A little expensive but well worth it! Saturday: 6:30 AM - 7:30 PM Golf Courses
This is one of my absolute favorite places to golf in Nashville. Both President's Reserve and General's Retreat are phenomenal (although given the choice I would opt for President's). Greens are well-kept (and fast), the scenery is beautiful, and the range balls are free. The practice facilities are top notch as well. It's a bit pricey for Nashville (especially when compared to the municipal courses), but in my opinion it is still totally worth it. Check it out! Courteously, Clayton CohnSee more..

My wife and I stayed overnight at the Marriott and ate here. We like to each order a meal and share, I can tell you the fillet and lamb chops we shared were fantastic! The service was also top notch, you can't beat the southern hospitality. A friend suggested we stop here on our way to Virginia and we not disappointed, I wish I brought my golf clubs.See more..
I've been playing this course along with several others in the area but keep wanting to come back to Lambert. Beautiful mountain views here with three different nines to play on. It is a relatively easy course to play but still has some challenging holes. Friendly staff and can come in on weekdays and play without a tee time. See more..

4.5Bear Trace at Harrison Bay(23 reviews) - Real nice Golf Haven Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Golf Courses
The second Bear Trace course to open, Harrison Bay is destined to become a true classic in this collection designed by Jack Nicklaus. Located approximately 20 minutes north of downtown Chattanooga, the Bear Trace at Harrison Bay is surrounded by both water and heavily-wooded land, making an ideal setting for the course. Referred to as “the best natural piece of land for a golf course,” the course features Champion Bermuda greens and 419 Bermuda fairways lined with soaring pine and hardwood trees. Although water touches 12 fairways, there is more than sufficient room to play safely. Most greens are open in front, which makes the course more user-friendly for high-handicap players and allows run-up shots. Fairway and greenside bunkers are designed in the traditional Nicklaus fashion and add notable character to the overall integrity of the course. Like other courses in the collection, the emphasis on playability is clearly evident.See more..
3.0King's Creek Golf Club(23 reviews) - Niec course but tight and challenging Golf Courses
The full 18-hole course was opened for public play on October 1, 2005. The course an Arnold Palmer Signature Design, that features three natural creeks, which wind their way lazily throughout the layout. Natural stone walls dress the front of several greens while well-positioned bunkers and ponds enhance the challenge and trees frame the entire course in a setting so natural that King’s Creek has been designated an "Audobon Sanctuary".See more..
4.0Patriot Hills Golf Club(20 reviews) - Great day out Golf Courses Great golf course, this course has a nice mix of long par 5’s and playable par 3’s. We play as a foursome I think just about everyone played some of their best golf. The staff in the club house and the lady in the grill super friendly. 4.5Heatherhurst Golf Club(17 reviews) - Tied the Brea Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
Had a wonderful time with my son playing golf. We went later in the day and had a wonderful time. Everyone was helpful and kind as I had several questions. The course was in great shape and very affordable price. I would suggest a later tee time to avoid the crowds. Beautiful scenic views and you will see wildlife. This course might be longer than Craig, but did not seem as narrow. See more..
The course is very unique and challenging. The staff are very friendly and gracious. Food is great. We got rained out but planning to try again next week!See more..
This was a great golf course. There are lots of variations in the holes and the elevation changes gave it great visual appeal. I did notice a lot of washouts around the cart paths due to the heavy rains and flooding, but that didn't take away from the all around 5 star golf experience. The greens were large and the course had great bunkering. They had great people working at the clubhouse. I just can't think of a negative thing to say about the golf club. Unfortunately many of the other courses in the area were still flooded due to all the rain.See more..

4.0Centennial Golf Course(13 reviews) - Much Improved! Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
I live in Oak Ridge and have played this course, off and on, for years. Most of that time it was only in fair shape and I played elsewhere a lot. Recently, however, the condition of the course, fairways and greens, has been superb. I started asking around and found out that they have a new superintendant and the city has invested heavily in the course. Slow play has been fixed with the course marshals doing their job. I am really happy with it now and play it at least once a week. Warning-the greens are severely sloped and fast! Put your ego in your pocket and move forward on the tees. It plays much better and its fun to play!See more..
I have lived in Knoxville for 11 years and just had a friend recommend this hidden gem. I was blown away by the layout, beauty of the courses and surrounding area and the quality of the golf. What is shocking is the value - $35 for 27 holes - are you kidding me! It is close to the Tri-Cities but if you are in the Pigeon Forge area or Asheville it is WELL worth the short trip and remember you are driving on the freeway at 75+ with no traffic. I guarantee you will not believe it when you get there. I If you are a good player the back tees are about 3500 yds and what is great is many elevated tees with splendid views (much better than middle tees) that make it play a little shorter. You can play darts and a well struck shot will stick on the greens. I really can not say enough how much we enjoyed it. I want to come back every month. It will be fantastic with the fall colors.See more..
4.0Ross Creek Landing(11 reviews) - Spectacular experience! Golf Courses
Absolutely had a blast playing this course! Tees lush, almost immaculate. Fairways were in superior condition. Bunkers, rough and hazards, all in great condition. With no hesitation this is a 5 star review and a must go for all golfers of any skill level.See more..

4.0Champions Run Golf Course(8 reviews) - Challenging Course with Great Greens Golf Courses This is a great challenging course with big greens that roll true. The fairways are very nice and the ball sits up good. Some water on the course that comes in to play so it makes a nice challenge. The driving range and putting greens are the best around. The course is well maintained and it has some challenging holes. The first hole is blind and it would have been helpful if the staff would have informed us to wait for the "bell" ring before teeing off. Carts are a little outdated, but other than that I would definitely recommend. The restaurant has the best wings in town!See more..

This course was in the center of the iron industry and there are still some smelter furnaces around. I thought there was a lot of variation between the holes. Since this was our first time playing this course we were luckily paired up with a regular who gave us the lines of the tee. There were several holes where I would have easily get in trouble on the wrong line. There are lots of elevation change which was done very well. The greens were large and rolled well. They had a lot of subtle breaks and some fairly significant breaks especially down off of the greens. The bunkers were very well placed to give you an idea where to hit. However, the practice green was very sloped and I found it hard to play well. The driving range was hit downhill so I could not see where the balls landed.See more..
4.5The Course at Sewanee(2 reviews) - Scenic Gem Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
The views on this course are fantastic. Overlook off the bluff on hole 3 is worth the trip alone. 9-hole course, but very challenging. Very nice pro shop and friendly staff. All of the course is in great shape. The lone negative is the condition of the bunkers. Very inconsistent from hole to hole with the type (some dirt, some sand) and depth of the sand. Many of the bunkers littered with small rocks.See more..

We play Baileyton, spend the night, and then play Graysburg Hills before returning home. Several times we have watched a MiLB game close by. Heard the course closed down but then I received a message that is still open. We are planning a trip in several weeks. We enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the fair but challenging course. Has some unique holes and is fun to play. Hope it stays open so we can continue our annual trip.See more..

Some of the greens were the smallest i have ever played but they were very nice. The folks in the pro shop were very friendly and rates were excellent. I happened onto this course while dropping our daughter off at Sewanee. I will go back given the opportunity. I gave it a 4 but it is more like a 4.5 when conditions and cost were considered and the friendly Tennessee hospitality never hurts.See more..
