Nice challenge

Semi-public course. Raised greens, wide fairways, some greens protected by bunkers. A bit of water. Good practice areas

Great shape; greens a little slow
Tee boxes, fairways, and rough in great shape.... even the greens are looking pretty good. Only fixes I see are bunkers and the greens are a little shaggy. But absolutely on the upswing, this course!

First issue I had was the fact that after paying full price for a round I was informed the front nine was closed for maintenance. No.10 hole should have been closed as well and part of 18 was bad. I hit a nice drive down the middle on 10 and never found my ball it plugged so bad. ON A DRIVE DOWN THE MIDDLE. So that left 7 holes that were in somewhat decent shape. Lots of "patched" areas on too many greens for the price. One of the trash cans was overflowing with beers can and about a dozen lay on the ground next to it as well. Ball washers missing towels, tee boxes were mostly dirt on several holes. Just seem to be penny pinching in an industry that is tough to be successful with that approach. I also played 12 Stones this week and the differences were glaring. A quick check of the parking lots explained a lot. Not many at PB but TS was jammed packed with some parking in overflow across the street. And TS is OK but far from a country club. I realize this course suffers a great deal with excess moisture, but when you don't adjust your prices and many of the other services/condition isn't up to snuff then you're making your golfers suffer as well. Locals will likely continue to visit but in it's current condition, I believe many of those with options, will not. I just can't do it myself. BTW- I played TS for $20 for 18 with a cart so a much better value to me.
