We had Gabe! He was awesome. He was so willing to make sure all of us had a blast. He pulled out all of the tricks with letting us “ride the waves” and all kinds of craziness to make sure we experienced it all. We will be back August 13 with a group of 10 senior boys and all of mommas and we hope that High Country has their “A” game on to show us what fun can be had on the river. Raft One was one of the best whitewater rafting experiences we’ve taken and we’ve been on many. It started with an excellent safety presentation that was funny and entertaining enough to keep everyone engaged and continued with the easiest and most time efficient load out of equipment and rafts and then onto the buses for the short ride to the Middle Ocoee. Junior was an outstanding guide who figured out quickly that we wanted adventure and we’re willing to take a few risks for the big payoff. In other words he pushed our group right to the edge for two and a half thrilling hours and finished us off with a expertly executed boat flip that left us all smiling and cheering. Importantly he took charge of the boat and made sure everyone was safe even when we wanted a little more. He was the consummate pro and clearly loved his job on the Ocoee. Junior is the kind of guide that brings you back and we will be back for another exciting day of fun with Raft One.See more..

Plenty of liquid sunshine did not dampen our day! I was really worried about the weather, but we were so wet from the rapids, the rain was unnoticeable!! Fast Fred was a great guide and we all had a wonderful time!!! My only complaint was the cost of the photos. I really wanted 1 or 2 pictures, but it was $55 for all pics. I didn’t want that many and didn’t want to spend that much. I have great memories but no pictures to share.See more..

Took the mid Ocoee tour. It took about three hours. Six of us in the raft with the guide Ky. Ky knew the river really well and guided in a way that had us navigate it safely while still getting wet and having lots of excitement in an adventure on the river. The staff was all very friendly and we were happy to go with a family owned outfit rather than one of the large outfitters - this also saved us o about $20 per person! After much research I chose to book with Watauga Kayak for our first ever whitewater rafting adventure. My husband, two grandsons (12&13) and myself had an amazing trip with our guide, Jerry. We booked the Explorer trip. Jerry was fun, knowledgeable about the area and sites along the river, courteous and very safety conscious. I would not even consider booking elsewhere after seeing the other outfitters on the river. Watauga has the best prices, longest amount of actual on the water time, plus it’s the only local family owned outfit on the Watauga. We stayed outside of Jonesborough at the Koa and the 30 min drive over to Elizabethton was well worth it. We went on the Jeep tour last year when in the Gatlinburg area. Our guide Whitney was absolutely amazing so amazing when we came back again this year With some other family members we made it a point to go on the tour again just so they could experience how amazing the mountains were and with her as a guide it makes the experience so much better. They absolutely loved It as Much as we did. I would definitely go back again. A must do ask to have Whitney as your guide.See more..

We had the good fortune to kayak with Tony and Katie... It was a beautiful day and we paddled across the Little Tennessee River and down Citico Creek... down lots of fingers with beautiful canopy and growth along the banks. Tony was an excellent guide sharing lots of history and information about the area, and both Tony and Katie were incredibly warm and charming. It was a wonderful experience and a highlight of our anniversary trip!See more..

We were in town for a bachelor party and were looking to rent a boat as one of our activities for the trip. We found this location, it was a bit away from Nashville, but it was available and catered to the size of our party which was huge bonus. They didn't require us to pay for a captain, which meant we were able to drive ourselves. The boat came with a slide, Bluetooth, and a cooler which was extremely convenient. There was also a restaurant on the dock that allowed us to grab a quick bite to eat before we headed out.See more..

Water was around 50 degrees, log jams constanstly stopped us and nearly sucked one of my friends underneath. The caney fork is too dangerous and too diverse in water type to do this kind of thing. Also, trash was littered everywhere after the trip.See more..
