Gabe Rules!
We had Gabe! He was awesome. He was so willing to make sure all of us had a blast. He pulled out all of the tricks with letting us “ride the waves” and all kinds of craziness to make sure we experienced it all. We will be back August 13 with a group of 10 senior boys and all of mommas and we hope that High Country has their “A” game on to show us what fun can be had on the river. I hope that Gabe will be working that day!

Half day trip is great!
Our guide LJ was awesome! Both for keeping us safe but still letting us have fun, and of course for pointing out yellow crested warblers. Funny jokes too. We did the half day tour in the morning, I was worried it would be cold with all the fog common in Ocoee, but even with the spray and regular dipping into the river, it was fine. One member of my group wanted a wet suit top for warmth but with the sun the rest of us were a little hot. Should note that it does require some good physical effort for paddling and moving quickly from seats to defensive seats in the bottom of the boat so that you aren’t thrown out. Bus ride too and from drop points wasn’t too long.

First Time Fun with Libba & Mr. Pink
Our large group was split between two rafts and both our guides were excellent! Half the family had Mr. Pink and we had Libba. Both were expert guides: full of river knowledge and personality and very safety conscious. Libba was high energy, which we loved! We were impressed by how much air she caught and a crazy flip off the rock. Mr. Pink definitely kept his boat entertained as well. And his humor filled safety talk got our trip off to great start. His group really enjoyed rafting with him! Our group consisted of 6 adults and 4 teens, most were first timers. Any first time concerns were quickly dissipated due to the expertise of our guides and the company’s focus on safety. The experience was awesome - lots of fun and thrills. Would highly recommend this activity with this outfit to anyone from beginners to experienced rafters.
