    WOW
We just moved to Jackson from Houston and there is NOTHING like this in H-town! It has become an early Saturday morning tradition....the huge, hot, massive glazed donut then shopping around for our weekly produce needs. This farmer's market is tops!

    Dont bother showing up early
I swung by here for two reasons. 1.) When I am on the road, I try to find local goodies to bring home to my family and what better place to find it than a local Farmers Market? 2.) The list of things to do in Jackson was rather sparse. The website said it opened at 7, and while the actually area did open at 7, there were almost no vendors open at that point. I hung around for a while and by 9 there were a few vendors setting up shop and a few more actually open so I wouldn't recommend going before 9-10am. I am glad I went though. There were a couple different ranchers selling local meats, one lady selling bread and cookies she baked, local honey, misc odds and ends, and the jackpot I found was one woman selling homemade elderberry juice (my wife loves the stuff). If you are looking for local good in particular, or somewhere to walk around on a Saturday morning, this is the place to be. Just go ahead and sleep in a bit though.
