2.5Fort Henry Mall(37 reviews) - Growing Saturday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
Even though the Mall has few stores it is making a comeback with many stores coming. Yes Pinnacle hurt it but when it is finished the locals here will find much to do and see. Just have to give it some time and patients. A new theatre is in and that’s better than the last. We need to support this Mall to help it become what it can be. There are plenty in Kingsport alone to help keep it going. I enjoy what’s there now and what will be coming.See more..
2.5Cineplanet 16(31 reviews) - Run down, expensive Movie Theaters
I would rather drive to Memphis and go to a Malco theater. You can't pay with a card. You have to bring cash or use their ATM. They recycle the popcorn and it is often stale. They put it in trash bags at night and then dump it in the popper in the morning. They then mix a new batch in with it. They took away the free refills on large drinks and popcorn. The keep it very very very cold on purpose. They take advantage of it being in a small town and away from everything else. See more..
We tried a sampling of the dry wines and found them 'OK' till we got to the specialty wines - Cherry and the unfortunately named Crapple! We ended up buying a bottle of each, as my wife loves cranberries (Cranberry-apple, thus the name), and Cherry is unusual enough for me to try more than a tasting.See more..

2.5Carmike Highland 12(8 reviews) - Not Impressed Theaters Stopped in to catch the Troll movie on a Friday evening. The place was packed. Parking was difficult...there really seemed as if there was not enough parking area. There was only one person at the ticket both...it took a while to get out 3 tickets. There were several staff hanging out at the concessions but only one was actually working and taking orders ....it took forever to get a bottle water and some cheese popcorn. The place was not well kept...popcorn and sticky floors everywhere...the sound system was average..the seating was rigid and not comfortable...no adjusting or reclining.. You can tell there is little or no competition from other cinemas in this market....if there was....this place will be in trouble. The movie was cute...my 9 year old daughter loved it.. Just an average place with poor customer service....not impressed.See more..
“I am so pleased and excited to continue our role as a fixture on Greeneville’s Main Street, particularly in this building that symbolizes the effort to preserve and renew Greeneville's history,” says gallery director JamesBen Stockton. The connection to generations past is reflected in the new location of James-Ben: Studio and Gallery Art Center in Greeneville’s downtown historic district. Already enjoying its new home within the Crescent School #201, which is the old band room for the former elementary school, the young people of Greeneville were taught from 1925 to 1981. We were recruited to come from Franklin, TN to be a center for the arts community, to interface between our arts community and Greene County at large and to provide arts employment by merchandising the spectacular works created by the remarkable artists and artisans in Upper East Tennessee. One of the most appealing features of the space is the natural light coming from high windows on the north, west, and south sides. “There is a good reason artists prefer natural light for creating their work,” says Stockton."I'm frequently asked how a gallery with the range and quality of art featured in our small gallery arrived in this Historical Community. That answer is extremely simple and obvious: we LOVE interacting and being a part of our community! We were recruited to come from Franklin, TN to be a center for the arts community, to be a interface between our arts community and Greene County at large and to provide arts employment by merchandising the spectacular works created by the remarkable artists and artisans in upper East Tennessee.See more..
2.5Rock Man Antiques and Museum(4 reviews) - Didn't get to check it out.... Antique Shops This museum is new and just recently opened. The phone Number for them is 731.584.2594They have outstanding Civil War, and American Indian collections. Along with Local History and a tribute collection to Patsy Cline who died in the area only a short distance away from there. Unique Pepsi and Coke collections are also featured in their own area. I found this place quite by accident but would highly recommend it as a place to see if your in the area or passing through.See more..
2.5Kohl's(3 reviews) - High Prices-it's Kohl's! Department Stores
I come to Kohl's for New Balance shoes. Of course, Kohl's prices are high, but they have limited stock in their shoe department. New Balance is a high quality shoe and the pair I'm wearing is comfortable and durable. The inserts are nothing more than a super thin padding. I wear custom-made orthotics, so I get around the thin padding.See more..
This course was in the center of the iron industry and there are still some smelter furnaces around. I thought there was a lot of variation between the holes. Since this was our first time playing this course we were luckily paired up with a regular who gave us the lines of the tee. There were several holes where I would have easily get in trouble on the wrong line. There are lots of elevation change which was done very well. The greens were large and rolled well. They had a lot of subtle breaks and some fairly significant breaks especially down off of the greens. The bunkers were very well placed to give you an idea where to hit. However, the practice green was very sloped and I found it hard to play well. The driving range was hit downhill so I could not see where the balls landed.See more..
2.5Cockspur Market(2 reviews) - Warm and friendly Farmers Markets
Our experience in Baxter was very good and it was because of the warm and friendly people. Very helpful See more..
This is just a ratty little shed on the Appalachian Trail. You’d have to be desperate to stay here, like hiking the trail and in need of a roof over your head.See more..
2.0Dandridge Partnership Trail(2 reviews) - Fun Short Walk Hiking Trails This is a unique place to go for a walk. We read the Tennessee River Valley write up on their page. It said is was a 1.2 mile out and back trail. Well we made it that distance but the trail itself is only 3/10 of a mile per their sign post and our hiking app was close to that distance traveled one way. With all of that being said it was a really fun walk in the woods and along Douglas Lake. The hike is very hilly so be aware of that. It does afford some awesome and up close views of the lake and the unique rock formations only found in this area (at least we have not seen anything like them before). The entry is pretty rough. Fortunately we have a four wheel drive SUV as it was a bit higher but still had a slight scrapage as we entered. We would not recommend a car entering the gravel road this place is located on. WE gave it 3 stars because of the distance. Really too short for a hike more of a path to get you to the lake on the end of peninsula.See more..
2.0Bellwood Mansion(1 review) - Disappointing to say the least Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Mysterious Sites
This place is said to be haunted. The locals we talked to told of many people that had claimed to see and or hear things there, but none of them had first hand knowledge, at least none admitted to. It's way off the beaten path. When we finally found it, There was a cyclone fence around the property with "No Trespassing" signs and other signage indicating video surveillance was in progress. All you could see was a small portion of the side of the house. Lots of trees, bushes and foliage obscured the view from there. I did walk down the road a distance, then out into the woods for a bit over 100 yards and was able to get a little bit better look at the front of the house. All in all, not worth the trip.See more..
Everything (not including the boats on the lake) was rundown and appeared to need some major upgrades.See more..
2.0Lazer Tag Tennessee(1 review) - Least favorite Lazer Tag place Spent < 1 hour Game & Entertainment Centers
This is the new lazer tag place inside Northgate Mall in Hixson. I was not impressed. Ten minute games and my gun did not work half the time. The sensors kept saying I did not have both hands on the gun when I DID and it would not shoot and I was getting shot in the meantime. Very frustrating. I told the attendant about it and no free game was offered only an apology and then he turned the heat sensors off. How about just don't have the dang heat sensors in the first place if they don't work well? He said they often don't work well. So if you go, tell them to turn the heat sensors off. The arena is not impressive either. No second story-no walls only barrels to hide behind, So not really a good game experience compared to others. They even forgot to turn the lights on for us at first and we were playing in pitch dark which could have been dangerous. I had to bang on the doors and tell them to turn the lights on. They do run specials like spend $25 on a card and get 5 games for that. Or some other specials on different days. They do parties there as well. My friend said she attended a party there and the black light party room after an hour hurt her eyes really bad. So not sure if that is the best idea. The arena is black light. The guns and sensors don't seem as high quality as others since I was aiming right at people and it would not hit them and the problem with the heat sensors. Also they only can do red or blue colors not other colors for teams. So I doubt we will probably do this one again when there are lots of other lazer tag places around chattanoooga that have better arenas and guns.See more..
