2021 Post 4th of July Weekend
We had a great time! This was my first time ever and I took my 11 yr old daughter. Initially, I felt somewhat overwhelmed by the instruction and lack of guidance on which trails to ride. If you're a good driver and can read a map, you'll do ok. The office highly recommended using the Brimstone Connect app and I foolishly spent half the day ignoring it. We got stuck in a large mud puddle and called for help, but another rider helped pull us out. The app was helpful to show our precise location when calling for help. Make sure you take a paper map for backup. Other things to bring with you include water, snacks or lunch, and a way to charge your phone (there are USB connections in the rental vehicle). You WILL get muddy and your stuff will get muddy, so plan ahead. The office staff were very helpful and spent considerable time helping us with a personal issue. I am grateful for the help they offered! Bottom line is: we had a lot of fun, made great memories, and would rent again!

Come prepared
The office communication needs a huge upgrade. We arrived to find our keys were not in the box and it was midnight. Prior to arrival day we were calling for 3 days ,we finally got through but never a call back. We confirmed that same day we would be there late. Our assigned bunkhouse was switched and others in the other bunkhouses encountered double booking issues. Someone showed up with a key to number 4 while it was still occupied. We brought our own towels and blankets,(theirs are thin) you will need cleaning supplies, trash bags and all utensils are needed. There is no mop only a broom. The grills are single charcoal. There are firepits for each unit. Bunkhouse 4 and 6 are up about 10 to 12 steps. You do share an outside area with the bunkhouse above or below, not too bad if you don't mind. Overall was clean and the ac works well. Other reviews mention that it is easy to accrue more cleaning fees if it's not left as you find it.. Just bring the items you need to clean and start early if you need to get ahold of someone. The emergency number on the door is how we finally got through when we arrived. Trails were good. We liked having access to them right there. Go see the food truck at the bottom of 10 where it meets 95! The man there has alot of tips on things to see in the area!
