  5. 4.5 Gillette Stadium (855 reviews)
    - Good experience despite weather
    Sports Complexes
    Gillette Stadium image
I went to the Patriots vs.Cowboys back in Nov. with a couple of friends and despite the weather it was a good experience. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities but of course on game day they are very crowded. The stadium is very clean and we had no issues with access to our seats, washrooms and plenty of places for food and drink. My friends and I travel quite a bit to visit sports stadiums and I feel that Gillette is very nice for its age but with bad weather a covered stadium would definitely be more comfortable in colder, wet weather. We felt the ticket prices were very high compared to other football games we have gone to. See more..

    Cisco Brewers image
Who are we? We are just about the coolest place on planet Earth. Having never personally traveled to other parts of the galaxy, we can't quite say "in all the Milky Way" but we're pretty confident that we would make the top 10. Here on Nantucket we have a Winery, Brewery, and Distillery. Nantucket Vineyard was the first arm of our business opening in the early 1980's as a small project of the Long Family. After a few years, Winery employees ended up falling in love with the wine and each other, and voila! - Cisco Brewers was born on the Hudson's stovetop in 1995. Whispers of a brewery floated on the Nantucket wind, catching the ear of a few people, including a Mr. Harman. Using the previously tested and proven formula of starting a business from another business, Winery and Brewery employees enjoyed a few glasses / pints (respectively) together and hatched the idea for Triple Eight Distillery in 2000. All three businesses are constantly evolving, and we now produce a wide variety of world-class wines, beers, and spirits. Come out and enjoy our Nantucket haven- just prepare yourself in case your mind blows up from all the awesomeness. Open everyday year-round, dog and kid friendly! See more..

For the most part everyone was super friendly and the views of the water were perfect! You can see motif no. 1 from here as well as the break water at the end of the shopping section. Parking is a pain so be sure to arrive early. We were lucky enough to catch a spot as someone was leaving but most of the available Parking was a good distance away. - One of our “Go-To” Beaches
    Beaches
    Nauset Beach image
Nauset Beach is an absolutely beautiful place to spend a day. We’ve gone several times and have always seen many seals pretty close to shore. They’re fun to watch and don’t seem too bothered by humans. The beach is also a great place to beachcomb for interesting and colorful rocks if you’re into that. You won’t find shells here, but you will find a lot of nice stones, pebbles and rocks. The water is a little chilly for swimming and there are a fair amount of sharks around, but it’s great for wading. We certainly see people swimming, too. Nauset Beach is very large with plenty of room for long walks, or just relaxing away from the crowds. We always make it a point to spend some time on Nauset Beach when we’re on the Cape, and we recommend you do too! -The PowerTrippers See more..

The large open air Tabernacle standing in Trinity Park today was built in 1879. The visitor experience can vary from a 15 minute walk to see the “cute little doll houses” to an in depth tour of the rich historical significance of this place. In season, the Association offers docent led tours of the grounds, an annual Cottage Tour, and a small museum located in one of the original cottages. An annual event open to all is the Grand Illumination night held in August. More history and visitor information at mvcma.org. See more..

I've been to many state fairs over the years and this one rates towards the best. We went on a Monday and we were grateful that we did as it was a traffic nightmare so I can't imagine how bad it is on the weekend. The parking is painless and run well and reasonably priced. There is plenty to do and it's like visiting six state fairs in one which is pretty cool. The food is good and reasonably priced for a state fair. The ag exhibits are plentiful, there a plenty of rides for the kiddos and the state capitols and vintage village were interesting with plenty of free entertainment at the main pavilion. We all had a lot of fun here. See more..

    - Fun Family Ski Trip
Ski & Snowboard Areas • Beach & Pool Clubs
    Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort image
We spent 3 nights here over Xmas break and had a blast. The trails were great - wide and snowy, thanks to the snowmakers. The lines weren't long either...and there were no lines at all before 10am / after 3pm. Our tween kids loved the night skiing as well. We stayed onsite at the building upstairs from the lodge. Accommodations were fine. Food options could have been better. We ended up eating in the Tavern most nights since the restaurant didn't take reservations and the wait was always over an hour. Next time we go, we'll bring more things to cook for ourselves. (That's why I took one star off of this rating.) The kids did use the hot tub and pool one afternoon so that was a nice diversion. Otherwise, it was just a terrific time on the ski slopes for us. See more..

    - Perfect day at Seagull Beach!
    Beaches
    Seagull Beach image
After researching the local beaches near our hotel I decided on this one and I have to say I made a good choice! :) Arrived at 9:45am on a Saturday in July and there was still plenty of parking available. Parking is $20 (cash only) for non residents. We parked near to the building that houses the restrooms and snack bar as was suggested in TA reviews. From that area it's a quick, easy walk along a short boardwalk to a perfect spot in the sand. Water is calm and fairly warm. There wasn't too much seaweed although there are a lot of small shells along the shore line that you need to step over/around (or wear water shoes). Clean restrooms, outdoor shower, foot shower and a nice snack bar are available. If you're staying in this area this is the place to go! Especially good for families with children, couples, and seniors. See more..

Afterward, you can hike through the green shrubs to Moshup Beach, where clothing is optional. Just make sure you keep your shoes on, as the shore is quite rocky. Swing by in the morning—it’s easier to find parking. Fog sometimes rolls in later in the day, obstructing the views. – Tripadvisor See more..

    Marconi Beach image
Brought the family (ages 12-82) for a day at the beach. Daily fee of $25 worth the ample parking available; if we were there for three days or more, the season pass worth $60 would have been the way to go. I would have gone back in a heartbeat. Park Staff were friendly, bathrooms clean. There are stairways down to the beach (with several landings to rest if you need) and sections of the beach cordoned off if you bring your dog. Surfers abound - bring your boogie board if you have one. Sand was soft (and hot!). The day we went the water temp was a brisk 41 degrees! (Found out from newscast later that day.) Family friendly beach - worthy of your time. See more..
