A short visit but worth the trip
The Arthur Ganson exhibition alone is really worth going to see. Unexpectedly fun, holds the kids' attention, and they provide great commentary with each sculpture. The Polaroid Project is a fun exhibit to go through especially if you grew up in the 70s and 80s. However, it is a bit pricey for the amount of time that you can reasonably spend at the museum and not necessarily the most kid-friendly museum in the area. But definitely a great way to spend an hour on any given weekend.

    Mid-size museum makes engineering fun
We spent a few hours (2 families with kids aged 8-14) enjoying this interactive, perfectly-sized museum in the heart of Kendall Square. The exhibits and gift shop make science fun, and our kids enjoyed creating their own Scratch video games with help from staff. We were especially surprised by the range of topics covered in the exhibits.
