The boat was on time and crew were clear about when you needed to be on the dock and how long the boat would be at a particular stop. They were great about loading and unloading the bags in an organized way and had interesting stories about boating on Lake Superior. Downsides were that the this vessel is extremely noisy in the passenger cabin, so try to get a seat outside if the weather is nice. The seats in general were also uncomfortable in my opinion for the several hours boat ride, but most of them were padded so it may have just been my sensitive back.See more..

That's what I did with my family on our first leg of a long trip. The van sucked up all our luggage with the driver helping us load it. We quietly talked the hour and a half up to the airport, and arrived refreshed and ready for the next part. On the way back days later, we were exhausted, happy and in no shape to safely drive. We didn't have to think about weather conditions, if we'd put gas in the car days ago, where did we park? No, we just stepped off the curb, watched the driver put our luggage in the van, found a comfy seat and gratefully and bleary-eyed watched the airport signs slide by. Snooze, yawn and soon we arrived right back where we started. The price was just about the same as parking off-airport, but the stress level was nil.
