A lot of hidden gems and one kind of small place. As far as indoor markets go it's kind of small, making it kind of cramped. There's a lot of food, some of it's overpriced, and some of it's worth it. Businesses seem to come and go out of there. See more..

    - At the SPFM you know it's locally grown

I visited on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 6:45 am. (They open at 6:00 am). Parking is about one block to the south; either in the ramp of the Union Depot for $3.00 or a surface lot for $1.00. Their policy is that everything offered for sale must be grown within a 75 mile radius of the market. They do not allow purchasing elsewhere and reselling here. So the customer knows that the products are very fresh and local. So, many vendors and offerings. From vegetables to flowers to cheeses to organic meats. I was in the mood for fresh vegetables. I purchased sweet corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, garlic, red potatoes and basil. I thought the prices were very reasonable for fresh, locally grown produce. I drove 30 minutes to get here but it was worth it. See more..

The Osowski's Flea Market building has been demolished and the property was sold to new owners. The site will now be used by a tree removal company and chipping trees will take place on this land. Monticello no longer has a flea market. See more..
  7. 5.0 Ferndale Market (12 reviews)

Monday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Flea & Street Markets
This is one of those hidden gems. If your satisfied with buying your turkeys as normal that's fine. We stopped buying whole turkeys awhile ago. We can get just the pieces we want or the whole turkey if you want. Plus a lot of things that are sold there are local in state or nearby states. Very friendly people and the turkey gravy is excellent. See more..
