Easy online reservation, quick check in, and the team helped us pick the right kevlar canoe model for our trip based on our route and then helped us get it secured on top of the car, lending us a car kit to do so. Eric took us out on a boat tour which was great! We didn’t have a boat but wanted to get out on the water at Voyageurs. He was friendly and punctual and knowledgeable. He also helped us book a canoe for the next day while we were on the boat with him. He didn’t charge us the delivery fee to get the canoe to Rainy Lake visitor center since there were already canoes there! A super nice woman got us a reservation super last minute and helped us get the canoe and get all settled, no canoe portage needed it was right at the dock. Canoe was in excellent condition and easy to maneuver and check in/out was easy. If youre forgetting something they may have it, plenty of camping food staples, fishing supplies, maps, and crane lake merch. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our float down the Cannon River this weekend. The recent rain had raised the water level such that we traveled the course in half the expected time, but it was a relaxing trip that required no unique skill set other than a general comfort level floating the river. We could eat our lunch or snack and take pictures simply while coasting along admiring the natural sanctuary past sandhill cranes, hawks, and myriad colorful songbirds. We were visiting the Faribault area, and this was a delightful way to spend part of a beautiful day...so affordable, easy to pick a meet time at the river's edge for transport just up the road 10minutes away, and the freedom of your own pace and time to wind your way down to the drop-off point right back where you started, we can't recommend this outing highly enough for anyone in the area. We rented tubes and a canoe here for Labor Day weekend float trip down the Crow Wing river. They also rent kayaks and tubes to put your cooler in. Float trip is about 2 hours. They will drop you off at the top, you can call to be picked up at the bottom or even walk back (probably about 1/4 mile). Prices were great, we got picked up at the bottom right away. River is very pretty and clean. No rapids, slow moving the entire way - between 2 feet and 10 feet deep along the way. Also relatively quiet, few other groups we saw were families.See more..

We rented bikes from this shop yesterday morning for 2 hours. We rode up to Pequot Lakes and back and then even a little bit towards Merrifield on the Paul Bunyan Trail. John, the owner, is a super nice guy who will rent you a kayak and life vest, truck you upstream and get you launched. Drop off points will put you 1-2 hours, 2-3 hours, or longer depending on how long of a trip you want. His most popular is the 7 mile, 2-3 hour drop off point. The MS River is slow moving, and remote. My day there in early Sept 17 was beautiful and I saw only one other boat in the river.
