I was surprised to see some lackluster reviews of this theatre. The fact is, this is the biggest IMAX screen in the state, standing at six stories high. The video and audio quality is high. I went online to buy the ticket, so when I checked in all I had to do was give my name and get handed a ticket. Admittedly it was a matinee midweek, but there was no line to speak of, and the auditorium was almost empty. The staff were polite and courteous. The movie was SkyFall which looked excellent on this huge curved screen. Sound was great too. They have the usual over-priced concessions, and a limited selection of alcohol which one can enjoy responsibly from a plastic cup while watching the movie. Parking was free and just a few steps from the entrance. They also offered specials for zoo and show combos. I've not taken a tour of all the movie theaters in this town. Nor have I tried a 3D movie at this theatre. But I was pleased with an afternoon of Bond and my IMAX experience.See more..

So. This isn't the first time I ordered online movie tickets but somehow I chose Dolby. The website of course has this option at the top and digital at the bottom without a good description of each type especially not the digital. Recliners? Choose your seat? No explanation for digital. So I chose the Dolby which I later found was way more expensive. So we sat down and the sound was booming! Our seats were shaking! My granddaughter was screaming! The elderly guy next to me was covering his ears! And we were just there to see "The Grinch". It's also extremely dark with little room for passage once seats are in recline so a patron tripped over one of our recliners and went down but his food was saved! Booyah! Ok. It went okay after everyone got used to it but not sure I'd choose that again. The facilities are otherwise nice. Parking a cluster but lots of spots.See more..

This is the place to go for $2 movies ($1 Tuesdays) and reasonable concessions. The staff is very friendly and they keep the theater clean. My only complaint is the movie scheduling. The movie selection and the times vary quite a bit. Often times there is no 9:00 movie.See more..

We just moved to the area from urban Philadelphia. Seeing movies was SUCH a pain: there was never parking or you paid a lot of money for a Lyft. Now that we have gone suburban, we became AMC Stubs members and go see a lot of movies. We live only 5-10 minutes from this theater. We've had nothing but great experiences. I love you can pick your seats in advance. The seats are roomy and always clean. There is also a bar, which is a great option (especially if we Lyft or Uber there:)) The check-in process is quick and we get a TON of rewards. The bar service is really slow. 3.5Five Star Cinema(2 reviews) - This Place Has Lot Its Touch Movie Theaters I went to see the film "The Greatest Showman" this afternoon. This is the first time that I have been to the Chan Theater in the past year, and I was astonished at the lack of staff on hand as well as the condition of the theater and restrooms. Today is Martin Luther King Day. They had two people on staff that were working the concessions stand while a long line of people formed at and out the door (with the outdoor temperature around +4 degrees plus the windchill). We had to wait about five minutes to purchase our tickets at the self-serve ticket kiosk. As we walked past the concession stand, we were surprised that there was no one to take our tickets and direct us to the right theater. Anyone could have just walked into the theater to watch a movie! After we entered the theater, we had to search for our seats. The seats were fine, the film projection was fine, and the audio was fine. After the movie ended, we went to use the restroom, and it was dirty. The ceiling panel over the handicapped stall in the women's restroom was missing. It was a very creepy experience. There was popcorn all over the carpet in the hallway, and we spent 2.5 hours in the theater without speaking to an employee. Although I have enjoyed going to this theater since I moved to Chan in 2001, I have decided that I will travel a little farther and pay a little more to support another theater.See more..

My husband opened the theater front door for me, I stepped in and immediately slipped and fell. I had hip-replacement surgery on 11/8. I was in great pain upon my husband helping me to my feet. My husband informed the first employee whom we encountered. Her response was “I’m so sorry. People have been falling there all day.” The manager finally came out, asked if I could sit through the movie, and when I said “No”, she refunded our tickets. As my husband and I were leaving the theater, another person fell in the same place as me. I then went to the ER for x-rays. I now have an ER bill for the visit. I have spent almost two months trying to get the theater to address my medical bill and display the slightest interest in how I was doing. No returned calls from management. I had to email corporate customer relations to get any response. They contacted Southbridge Crossing twice before I finally got an email from their insurance provider. Now the insurance provider won’t respond. We will NEVER set foot in this theater again. There are plenty of other theaters who understand customer service.See more..
