My wife and I took this tour while camping in the area. Our guide was Vern and he did a fantastic job. Very informative about the Amish and the area. He was a very good speaker and answered all questions. You will go to a number of working Amish farms and have the chance to purchase some of the items they have for sale. While this may seem that this is strictly a guided shopping trip if was also entertaining. Also keep in mind that this is an important source of income for the farms.See more..

I took my 24 year old son and 12 and 6 year old nephews on this tour and it was great! The tour guide (Rich) was informational and interesting. We stopped at several farms and each had a variety of handmade items to view and purchase if interested. Rich explained about the family's background at each farm and one lady allowed us to walk through her home. It was so interesting to see the Amish farms compared with the English neighbors. Super selection, store atmosphere and the best staff around. They were extremely knowledgeable of equipment and of the area, and had the best deals on rentals. I myself rented backcountry skis and the staff were able to point me to some great snow to use them to their full potential. We got married on the tour boat this last summer. Despite all of the challenges (last minute changes like a smaller group due to covid, extra covid regulations, engine issues, and me running late), they remind kind, professional, and incredibly compassionate. They were completely understanding and they were willing to work with us (within covid regulations, of course). Mr. Coborn was absolutely wonderful as an officiant, the scenery was stunning, and everyone was genuinely kind. I'm so glad that we chose to work with them for our small wedding. My son, one of his professors, and I did the almost 3-hour Minneapolis - St. Paul bus tour. The driver was excellent, to begin with! We were running a bit late getting to the starting point of the tour, which was The Mall Of America bus area. I called the dispatch office and asked the person to call and let them know, we were close. The man obliged and was very friendly in doing so. I guarantee that would not happen in many other cities!! The guide was fantastic! He never stopped talking, in regard to showing, pointing and describing the sites, the history and detailed stories of each thing we saw. Gray Line tours are great ways to see an unfamiliar city, to get an idea of where to go, once one is on his or her own. I recommend doing this, at the beginning of a trip. Then, one may go back and spend more time in an area, as desired.See more..

He took us around Leech lake, told us the history of the area, explained what he was doing with the sails (it was my first time on a sailboat, so I had lots of questions) and made an all around fun day of sailing. I did a two-day adventure with Wahoo Adventures. This included kayaking, paddleboarding, camping and hiking. Everything was first class. The food was amazing. This is a great short boat tour of 2.5 hours departing from the Rainy Lake Visitor Center of Voyageurs National Park. The boat has an enclosed lower deck with some open seating at the back of the boat, and a good number of open air seats on the upper deck. There's one stop with about a 1/4 mile walk to see old mining sites, but otherwise you tour Rainy Lake while the ranger explains the history of the park and the area. Our ranger was very informative and engaging. The crew points out known bald eagle nests and beaver lodges. They also try to maneuver to get good photo ops for any loons they encounter. Apparently loons are not present in large numbers on Rainy Lake because of lack of good nesting areas. All in all this was a great tour and a nice introduction to Rainy Lake. And the crew tries to make sure that everyone gets a chance to sit on the upper deck and enjoy the better vantage point if they want to.See more..
