We had a fantastic time on our Sunset Paddle exploring the beauty of the Chippewa and Mississippi Rivers with our expert, fun and friendly guides, Taylor and Isabelle. Way to Go Outfitters is really the only way to go! Before choosing an outfitter, I carefully read every review in Trip Advisor. Way to Go had by far the best reviews. We did a 4 hr canoe trip with Jake as our guide and those 4 hours were hands down the best 4 hours of our one month, 16 state vacation! We are a city dwelling senior citizen couple without prior canoeing experience and that short time with Jake convinced me that we could return for a multi-day trip. I can’t say enough good things about Jake—he is everything you would want in a guide (and more) and he absolutely loves what he does! I also want to return in the winter for dog sledding!See more..
Always a great experience kayaking or canoeing down the St Croix when renting from Taylors Falls Canoe and Kayak Rental. Truly a classic Minnesota experience during the summer. Easy 2-3 hour paddle/float to Osceola Landing with plenty of spots along the shore to pull up and relax and have a bite or drink. Easy on-line reservation system. One way rentals with parking at Interstate Park and riding the shuttle back from Osceola Landing. We were wary of doing this during Covid and brought 2 cars leaving one at Osceola Landing and the other at Interstate Park. Beware there is limited parking for cars at Osceola Landing. Lots of spaces available for vehicles with boat trailers which sadly resulted in an unpleasant $80 parking ticket.See more..
We planned a last minute trip to the Boundary Water Canoe Area (BWCA) and the outfitter near our entry point was completely booked, so we tried Clear Waters and they were great! Easy online reservation, quick check in, and the team helped us pick the right kevlar canoe model for our trip based on our route and then helped us get it secured on top of the car, lending us a car kit to do so. The canoe (+ paddles and life jackets) worked great for us in the BWCA for 4 days and the check in process was quick. Definitely recommend them for more than just the Mississippi.See more..
We spent 3 days, 2 nights on the river, Ken called right back when looking for a reservation, set us up with all we needed, canoe and water containers, fair prices, convenient setup. Lots of helpful hints on camping along the river, things to see, what to watch for. He clearly loves the river and is proud of the community around Lanesboro, will go out of his way to help with special needs.See more..

Eric took us out on a boat tour which was great! We didn’t have a boat but wanted to get out on the water at Voyageurs. He was friendly and punctual and knowledgeable. He also helped us book a canoe for the next day while we were on the boat with him. He didn’t charge us the delivery fee to get the canoe to Rainy Lake visitor center since there were already canoes there! Highly recommend getting out on the water with the help of this outfitter.See more..

Friendly informative service - a nice trip. Took the 8:30 am shuttle from Taylor's Falls to Wild River state Park. Parking location was clearly marked and easy to find. There is a pit toilet right at the drop off site in Wild River. Eric pointed out what the river campsites looked like on the way up in the shuttle for a couple who were planning to camp. He dropped off 4 canoes, and made sure everyone had life jackets and paddles. We had until 7 pm to return our canoe. Really nice to be able to return on our own schedule so there was plenty of time to enjoy the trip. Saw a ton of wildlife. None of the gear, nor the shuttle, were brand spanking new but they got the job done and it was a great value, $45 to spend a leisurely day on the river, nice! Would rent from Eric's again. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our float down the Cannon River this weekend. The recent rain had raised the water level such that we traveled the course in half the expected time, but it was a relaxing trip that required no unique skill set other than a general comfort level floating the river. We could eat our lunch or snack and take pictures simply while coasting along admiring the natural sanctuary past sandhill cranes, hawks, and myriad colorful songbirds. We were visiting the Faribault area, and this was a delightful way to spend part of a beautiful day...so affordable, easy to pick a meet time at the river's edge for transport just up the road 10minutes away, and the freedom of your own pace and time to wind your way down to the drop-off point right back where you started, we can't recommend this outing highly enough for anyone in the area. Made a reservation, showed up, nice young men got our canoe and jackets ready and sent us on our way. Easy parking available in lot or on street. Equipment decent (accept oars which can collect water and drip, but not the worst). Plus you can arrange to use your own equipment and get ride back. Shuttle return timely and decent, too Nice trip that requires minimal effort depending on river height. Lots of places to stop for breaks. Cost is reasonable, too Check out Cannon Falls while here - ice cream, winery, brewery and several places to eat - pizza, Mexican, diner, tavern, burgers, etc... Enjoy!See more..

I did a two-day adventure with Wahoo Adventures. This included kayaking, paddleboarding, camping and hiking. Everything was first class. The food was amazing. We rented tubes and a canoe here for Labor Day weekend float trip down the Crow Wing river. They also rent kayaks and tubes to put your cooler in. Float trip is about 2 hours. They will drop you off at the top, you can call to be picked up at the bottom or even walk back (probably about 1/4 mile). Prices were great, we got picked up at the bottom right away. River is very pretty and clean. No rapids, slow moving the entire way - between 2 feet and 10 feet deep along the way. Also relatively quiet, few other groups we saw were families.See more..

I've wanted to kayak Minnehaha Creek for years, but didn't know how to go about it. Tamara and Kayakthecreek set me up with kayak gear and guided the route. Scooting through the (little) rapids and under bridges was thrilling fun. We saw turtles, beaver-gnawed logs, even two twin fawns! Tamara is super friendly and happy to help anyone, regardless of experience, enjoy the trip.
