The BEST Rainy Lake tour

Jason is an amazing captain and guide for the Voyageurs Patk area. He met us at Thunderbird Lodge and customized our 2 hour tour around our interests. He is very knowledgeable about the area, the wildlife, geology, and local history. He knows the routes on the lake very well and is a safe captain. We highly recommend him for any excursions and he gave us some great restaurant recommendations for dinner.

    The Best Way to be Immersed into Voyageurs National Park
    Jason met us as promised at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center. He accommodated our request to go on a 5 hour evening tour a day earlier than planned due to weather concerns as he had an opening. He provided a well planned tour with stops of historical and geological interest out to Kettle Falls where we took an hour to stretch our legs and have a drink at the famous prohibition famous bar with the tilted wooden floor. He was open to all of our questions and was clear that he wanted us to make the tour our own. He planned a special chance to see wildlife where he took us into a back cove using his trawling motor to scramble up past a small waterfall to see a large beaver pond. The rest of the boat ride home provided gorgeous sunset views over the many small islands we passed on our way back. Jason was professional and friendly and gave all four of us a once in a lifetime experience in Voyageurs National Park!

    Fabulous day IN the National park
    When our chartered boat was canceled for Voyageurs National Park, we were fortunate enough to find Jason! He gave us a three-hour tour of sights on the water IN the national park and guided the tour according to our interests. My husband is now looking forward to going back and fishing with him sometime! He was kind, professional, friendly, helpful, and seemed like a very caring man. We highly recommend him and any of his tours! Also, we were so happy that we actually went to the National Park because of him! Many people we met were only able to say they had been to the visitor center, which is not the park at all! Thanks Jason, for a wonderful trip! We have shared your business card with many people!
