- 5.0 Seattle Paragliding (89 reviews)
-Surprise adventure!
Parasailing & Paragliding
Our family was so fortunate to come upon Marc launching his students off Poo Poo point with humor and enthusiasm! What an amazing adventure -I thought enviously. We were just on an afternoon hike up to the point and when Marc offered a discount last minute sunset tandem I jumped at the opportunity. He hooked us in and we ran off the cliff and I experienced exhilaration like never before. He gave me the the controls for 80% of the time and had me land under his directions with surgical precision. (I’m a Urologist). He gave me an exuberant slap in the back and words of congratulations. He is a true professional with a comedian’s sense of humor, which sets everyone at ease. We videoed the entire adventure with his go pro and relived every moment with my family to drinks at his viewing center. I recommend Seattle Paragliding with Marc and his staff to anyone who wants the amazing rush of feeling like an eagle in flight. Thanks Marc and I’ll be back to get the full paragliding training! -Wonderful first time visit
Thursday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Theaters
My wife and I caught the Guys and Dolls musical here a few days ago. The theater was wonderful. Smaller and more intimate than the theaters in Seattle. I couldn't see the mezzanine level, not there's not a single bad seat at the Orchestra level. The theater is not very wide, nor very deep was is great. Even with some taller people in front of us, we were able to see perfectly. Definitely, we will be back. See more..

- 5.0 Sucia Island State Park (79 reviews)
-Sucia secret hints!
National Parks
Sucia is one of the jewels of the San Juan Islands...but you already knew that. Sucia can only be reached by boat...but you already knew that. Fossil Bay has a dock but is crowded. Echo Bay is exposed, but has some nice but crowded campsites. The best campsite is #26 on the SW side of Shallow Bay, accessible by boat or walking from Fossil Bay. It is clean, has a private toilet, gets morning sun, and is virtually always empty because no one knows about it. Shallow Bay is my favorite anchorage because of the beauty, access to China Caves, and moorage possibilities. Its also not that shallow, so don't worry about bringing in a big, deep draft, boat. My other favorite cove is Ewing. Approach from the NW and watch for a propeller eating rock, that's noted in Wagoner's. See more..

Our original tubing trip on the Lower Yakima was cancelled due to a nearby fire so we switched to kayaking on the Upper Yakima instead and I’m so glad it worked out that way. My teen sons and I loved having individual inflatable kayaks and had a blast during our three hours on the river! Pulled off to check out spooky tunnel #47 on the nearby Palouse to Cascades Trail, as well. Rill employees were very responsive, organized, and friendly, and the equipment was clean and well maintained. Would definitely rent from them again. See more..
- 5.0 Skookum Surf (64 reviews)
-Fantastic company with best teachers in northern coast of Oregon and SW Coast of WA
Thursday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Surfing & Windsurfing
The folks are Skookum are rad. Took a lesson from Tyler and it was the best lesson I've had in the past year. He breaks down the "pop up" one step at a time; and gives you rad real-time feedback in the water so you can course correct and improve. I stood up by the end after a year of trying. He was a gentle, sincere and thoughtful teacher. And the Seaview break is a hidden gem of a spot to keep coming back to. Steve was extremely responsive in replying to texts/calls to get set up as well. See more..

- 5.0 Fall City Wallaby Ranch (62 reviews)
-Truly Unique Experience
Nature & Wildlife Tours
My sister Cathy and I, her college friend Bob, and our cousin Jode had the 2pm tour at Fall City Wallaby Ranch on September 24. We were the only group scheduled for the entire day which was nice especially with the current COVID pandemic. The tour started off with an educational video which was very informative. We were then led outside to the different enclosed areas where we got to see and interact with first the smaller wallabies and then the larger red kangaroos. We were able to touch the animals and feed them little bites of wheat bread and get lots of memorable photographs. Rex, the owner of the ranch was the tour guide. If you want a truly unique and educational experience than I highly suggest you contact Rex and set up a tour. See more..

Beaches
We felt the parking was tight but we got a spot after turning back and trying again after seeing several cars leave. This beach was awesome. - 5.0 South Bay Trail (60 reviews)
-Wonderful bayside walk
Hiking Trails
My daughter and I had just moved to Bellingham and discovered this trail when visiting Fairhaven one day. We were looking for a place to walk and were thrilled to discover this trail. From Fairhaven the trail goes out into the bay across a very long pier which connects to a long sweeping foot bridge that curves out across the water and around a point where it connects to land again. There are plenty of places to sit and a covered picnic area at the end of the pier as well as a small boat dock. We did not go all the way around the point but intend to go back soon. The bay is so beautiful; you can see the islands, sailboats... I can't wait to go back and walk the full length and back again. See more..

- 5.0 FitTheorem Lynnwood (60 reviews)
-Supportive Team
Health Clubs
I joined a 6 week challenge in June and while I didn't meet my goal, I have made significant progress. The workouts are intense and I always leave feeling great. The bag rounds are a good stress relief. All the instructors are super motivating and encouraging: "The only person you're competing against is yourself" and they push you to be better than you were yesterday. They are helpful with modifications, as it is not expected that everyone can do every exercise. My only critique is that the Lynnwood location blasts the music and then the mic is super loud over it. I've asked the instructors a couple times to lower the volume and they've always been accommodating. See more..

- 5.0 Olympic National Park and Forest Lake Quinault Tours (59 reviews)
-Three parks all wrapped on one.
Boat Tours • Eco Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours
One of our best National Parks we have visited. It has it all, mountain's, beach and rain forest trails. Everywhere you hiked you are in awe. The views are something you have to see for yourself. The moss covered trees along the well maintained trials just kept my camera clicking. Leaving thr rainforest and arriving at the beach seemed like a time warp. Ruby beach is a must stop. You cannot be disappointed with this park. I would give it at least 2 or 3 days mimimum. It is large with so much to see. See more..

-Flyfishing Yakima River Tour
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Fishing Charters & Tours
We did an 8-hour drift boat tour with Skyler. Skyer was an awesome guide. Right away he taught us some helpful knots and information about flies/bugs on the river. Within minutes on the river, my partner and I both hooked into some trout (at the same time)! We caught a lot of fish on various flies. Skyler also talked about the river and the fish. He constantly was telling us where and when to cast, and when to set. He did rest for a minute and made sure we were always on the fish. We overheard other boats saying they had a slow day, but with Skyler, we felt our day was awesome and action-packed. We will be back to do a hunting tour with him. The fly shop was amazing and has everything that you need. See more..

- 5.0 Three Peaks Outfitters - Day Tours (54 reviews)
-Perfect Day!
Thursday: Sightseeing Tours
This is the second time I've ridden with Three Peaks Outfitters. Both times were excellent. All of the horses were beautiful, clearly well cared for, and easily trustable. Our guide this time was Sophie. She gave us a choice of locations. We ended up riding up through a beautiful quiet forest to a waterfall (I'm lost in this area so I can't say exactly where we were). Sophie really went the extra mile for us, and we tied up the horses and hiked down to a place where we ended up sitting on large rocks right at the base of the waterfall where it divided and created gorgeous pools, and it was surrounded by huge rock cliffs. It was stunning. Sophie made us lunch while we climbed around and took photos. The ride was the perfect length. It really was a perfect day! See more..

- 5.0 Cape Flattery (51 reviews)
-Great View - Be ready for the hike
Bodies of Water
The NW-most spot of the lower 48 states. We saw this on the map while driving and decided we should stop by. It took us a good 35 miles off the main road, but seemed to be well worth the stop. The final parking spot is a good 25-30 minute hike from the actual overview, with a few steep spots along the path. The final view was well worth the hike, however. Be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes, and be ready for a windy (possibly rainy) site! See more..

My wife and I stopped in for a flight of beers recently. (OK it was really just me while my wife shopped nearby.) I'd seen this place previously on other visits to the area but the timing wasn't right. I made a point of visiting on this trip to Whidbey Island and was very happy I did. I got a flight of 4 beers (5 oz pours) and sat outside on a nice late summer day enjoying the cool breeze. The beers are very good and I'd definitely stop here again when we have family in town. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy a cold beer(s). This place is definitely worth visiting when you are on the island. See more..
