Steep/Couloir Camp

One of the best classes I've ever taken. Matt and Pablo taught us many skills to enter steep couloirs and terrain and we took those skills out and applied them by entering a 1100' couloir. They were both friendly, patient, and downright brilliant when it came to ski techniques. 100% would recommend taking this class to up your ski skills!

AIARE Level 1 and Intro to Touring
I did both AIARE level 1 and Intro to Touring with BCAG at Snoqualmie Pass and had a great experience. All the guides I worked with were excellent (Ian, Mallorie, Chris, Juliana) and had deep experience in avalanche safety and guiding. The conditions weren't ideal for either trip, but the guides worked hard to provide good learning opportunities each time. I would highly recommend BCAG and look forward to working with them again in the future!

    Intro to ski mountaineering
Took ski mountaineering course with BCAG with Matt as the guide. It rained for 3 days out of the 4... but the guides really made it as good as it can be. We got breakfast in bed, dinner delivered to our tent. Went out when it was raining the least (or in sunshine) to cover all our material. The guides kept us alive and I'm glad to have made it back in one piece. Intro to ski mountaineering is a crucial course that gives one exposure to the backcountry setting, and most importantly teaches you how to deal with the cold, wet, and less luxurious tent life for multiple days in addition to the main course material such as crevasse rescue. Would highly recommend to anybody thinking about doing back country adventures in snow.
