5.0Zipline USA(758 reviews) - Amazing and awesome guides!! Must do!! Thursday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
We went with our large family group of 12 yesterday! Everyone loved it!! Our ages ranged from age 10-65. Our 12 year old daughter was near tears and scared to death when she saw the 2nd zip line which we were told is the 3rd longest in the USA. It’s hard to see the end of it from the beginning. I have to say I was nervous too as well as a lot of our group when we saw the 2nd zip line. Our guides Zach and Joey were absolutely amazing with my daughter and she loved the 2nd zip line and all the remaining zip lines. The views from the zip line are beautiful. We have done zip lines in Branson before on Wolfe mountain which they claim is the #1 zip line in Branson. These zip lines blew those zip lines away!! So glad they didn’t have any availability for our family and we got to do these. I cant wait to do it again! It will be something we do every time we go to Branson. Felt completely safe the whole time. These guys know what they are doing. Thanks for a great time!! See more..

Helzberg Hall is the one-half of the Kauffman where the Kansas City Symphony plays. The warm maple wood throughout, the excellent seating, the changeable lighting and, of course, the excellent acoustics make for a lovely evening. When I first visited this performance venue not long after it opened, between songs, the singer spoke about the performance hall and then snapped his fingers. I was sitting one level below the back seats and could clearly hear his fingers snap. He made his point. Last year, I saw the symphony play in concert with the Star Wars movie, “The Empire Strikes Back”. I had seen the movie upon its initial release and it’s my favorite Star Wars movie. Well, to hear the symphony play the soundtrack in all its glory (dialogue is captioned) sent me soaring. It’s one of the best entertainments I have attended.See more..

We visited last Saturday and enjoyed a personal tour with Ben. There were, surprisingly, no other parties or groups when we were there, in spite of the Truman Library/Museum being closed due to COVID (which might have left some unexpected spare time in an itinerary). The house was extremely well appointed with 90% authentic turn of the century (i.e. 1900) furnishings. Most places like this would have ropes and barriers to keep visitors from touching anything, but here there were essentially none. For example, I was INVITED to play the antique pump organ! Our guide had a great deal of personal experience maintaining the house/furnishings rather than just reciting a memorized script of talking points. We walked the short path to see the swales in the field from departing wagons/horses. I'd have to say you need to close your eyes and use your imagination to see any swales. We enjoyed our unhurried tour and walk through the grounds.See more..

5.0Elephant Rocks State Park(366 reviews) - Feel like a kid again while exploring beautiful, giant boulders State Parks
The elephant-shaped boulders at Elephant Rocks State Park may not be the stars of a circus, but these giant granite boulders are the stars of this unusual park in southeast Missouri. An easy way to see the rocks is from the Braille Trail, which was especially designed for people with visual and physical disabilities. The trail winds through the main area of rocks. An extension off the trail leads back to the ruins of an old railroad engine house, a remnant of the area’s quarrying and railroad history. Picnic tables are scattered among the trees and provide inviting spots to have a picnic lunch or rest and enjoy the interesting geologic formations found throughout the park.See more..
5.0Endangered Wolf Center(365 reviews) - Howling AWESOME Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sightseeing Tours
Amazing from start to finish, thanks to passionate and knowledgeable tour guide, Eryn. The public tour was well worth the cost for animal/nature lovers. We gained far more than we expected. Fortunately, nearly all the animals were active during our unusually mild January visit. We even got to hear the full chorus of howls - twice! It was spectacular. Great conservation efforts going on here by people who truly love the canids individually and as a species. Cool gift shop too - stop in for amazing stories with Renee. We followed this visit up with a trip to the nearby World Bird Sanctuary and closed the day at Lone Elk Park. Perfect wildlife trifecta. Can't wait to go back.See more..

5.0America's National Churchill Museum(265 reviews) - Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen Thursday: 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites • Architectural Buildings • History Museums
In 1946 it was at Westminster College that Winston Churchill delivered one of the most significant speeches of his long and illustrious career. That address, formally entitled, The Sinews of Peace, but best known for that evocative phrase, An Iron Curtain has descended across the Continent, effectively marked the beginning of the Cold War and linked, forever, Fulton and Westminster College with Winston Churchill. In the 1960s Westminster College set out to mark what would be the 40th anniversary of Churchill's visit. After due consideration to traditional modes of commemoration, Westminster College settled on the rather more ambitious notion of moving a Christopher Wren designed Church from London. This Church, St. Mary the Virgin Aldermanbury, had stood in London since 1677 when it replaced an earlier structure that had sat on the same site since the 12th century. This magnificent building, badly damaged during the London Blitz, was moved stone by stone to Westminster's campus and rebuilt to Wren's original specifications.Beneath this Church is the National Churchill Museum itself which through the imaginative and innovative use of technology bring to life the story of Winston Churchill and the world he knew. Recently rebuilt form the ground up the new displays and the permanent exhibition, together with host of associated historical and cultural activities that support it was recognized the by the United States Congress as America's permanent tribute to this great man and formally recognized as America's National Churchill Museum.See more..

5.0KC Streetcar(192 reviews) - Street Car, great, rest of public transportation system not so much Thursday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 AM Spent < 1 hour Public Transportation Systems
The Kansas City street car is a great deal for tourists planning to stay in the downtown area of KC. Running approximately every 10 to 15 minutes for much of the day. It's clean & free. It may not be fast but KC downtown doesn't cover a large area so that won't be a problem. Keep in mind that the rest of the public transportation system is in no way similar to this. Even the major routes have plummeted over the past year from 15-20 apart to sometimes only once an hour. Their schedules say every half-hour but it's normal for the ATA to skip runs. And sometimes it gets worse than that. So absolutely do not depend on taking a bus in Kansas City unless you want to make your visit quite miserable. This is NOT a public transportation city, & in that area it gets worse every day. So take the street car and enjoy the little strip downtown & plan on using a rental car or if you must, a taxi elsewhere.See more..
5.0Central Public Library(191 reviews) - One of most beautiful examples of architecture in STL Libraries
Simply stunning architecture that no one on the planet should miss! The staff in every room greeted us warmly and let us wander as we wanted... There were several people sitting and reading --- enjoying the quiet and beauty. Only one room was loud and the two women working there didn't feel compelled to ask the patron to turn off his loud cell phone. We simply left that room when we saw they either didn't have the authority to do anything or maybe were too scared of the guy to do anything. I'm so happy we toured this gem!See more..
5.0Campbell House Museum(173 reviews) - Meticulous1885 Restoration Thursday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums • Historic Sites • History Museums
Since opening on February 6, 1943, the Campbell House Museum has served the greater St. Louis area as one of America's premier historic property museums. The Museum not only preserves the Campbell's house, but also their collection of original furniture, fixtures, paintings, objects and thousands of pages of family documents. Included in these documents is a unique album of 60 photographs of the interior of the house taken in about 1885. In 2005 the Museum completed a meticulous five-year restoration that returned the building to its opulent 1880s appearance, when the house was one of the centers of St. Louis society.See more..
First of all, the original bass pro shop is something to see in and of itself. So much to see for free, including the nra firearms museum. I would put this museum up with the Springfield National Armory in MA, the history is that good here. See firearms from literally every era, going all the way back to the 1500s. They have the fire arms of hero’s and notorious names. They have rifles and handguns that make you drool (if you like fire arms). The whole collection is very impressive and is laid out to help you understand the progression of firearms use and technology. I highly recommend this museum and the first Bass Pro Shop as a whole.See more..

I highly recommend Eco Adventure Ziplines for a super fun, yet socially-distanced activity!! We had a group of 5 "zippers" so we made a reservation for a private session. Young or old, short trip or a long one, beginners or experienced floaters, this place has something for everyone. I highly recommend adding kayaking to your vacation plans!See more..
