    The Kansas City street car is a great deal for tourists planning to stay in the downtown area of KC. Running approximately every 10 to 15 minutes for much of the day. It's clean & free. It may not be fast but KC downtown doesn't cover a large area so that won't be a problem. Keep in mind that the rest of the public transportation system is in no way similar to this. Even the major routes have plummeted over the past year from 15-20 apart to sometimes only once an hour. Their schedules say every half-hour but it's normal for the ATA to skip runs. And sometimes it gets worse than that. So absolutely do not depend on taking a bus in Kansas City unless you want to make your visit quite miserable. This is NOT a public transportation city, & in that area it gets worse every day. So take the street car and enjoy the little strip downtown & plan on using a rental car or if you must, a taxi elsewhere. See more..
