  1. 4.5 Grant’s Farm (2.363 reviews)
    - A Day at Grant’s Farm
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM Spent 1-2 hours Farms
    Grant’s Farm image
This is the perfect place for all ages. We booked the Clydesdales Tour, which took 1.5 hours and it was well worth the $25 per person cost. Learned so much about this breed of horse and the training they go through. The $15 parking fee is all we had to pay to enter the grounds and it included the tram ride around the property. You could see the animals up close as you drive by. It stops at the courtyard where there are animals you can feed and activities for the kids. Great big food court with polka music playing while you eat. Lots to do and see. See more..

    - Beautiful

Oh my, the fantastic Thunder Muffins! I had them first at the Best of Missouri Market in St. Louis years ago, and made it a point while traveling through Southwestern Missouri recently to stop at the farm and get them direct. They are just the most perfect decadent, incredible, tasty, moist, beautiful thing! They also have many other items at their store (in addition, you can pick berries during berry season), and I got some blackberry lemonade, which was delicious, and some of the honey that their own bees made! They had freeze dried blueberries, coffees, jams and jellies, mushroom items, but, for me, it was all about the muffins. It was an undeniably beautiful drive down some country roads to get there. If you are anywhere close to Branson or Springfield, make it a point to pop in, especially in June when I believe the berries are at their peak (I was here and early May, so the berry vines were just flowering). We discovered this on a Sunday morning as we were waiting for places to open in town and it was so fun. It would be especially great with kids but it was just me and hubby. We enjoyed the little store, bought some apples and great pumpkins (some very unique!). Everyone was extremely nice and there were a ton of activities. See more..

    - Awesome Destination for the Entire Family!

    Neosho Federal Fish Hatchery image
This is a really fun place for kids and adults alike. It's a great learning experience. Fantastic and interactive play areas like the tunnel through the aquarium, and the aquarium itself. The fossil and mineral displays are also a great learning experience. Visitors get to see the entire process of the fish's life and learn about other aquatic life native to Missouri's lakes, rivers, and streams. I learned how the Missouri Conservation Department is battling zebra muscles and other invasive species that destroy native aquatic habitats. They also have annual events and party rooms. I would absolutely recommend this destination to anyone. See more..

    - All Day Adventure

    Fun Farm image
We went on a Monday evening thinking that 3 hours would be enough to see/do everything...we were wrong! We document our adventures on YouTube and you will notice that we didn't even make it to the hayride, pumpkin patch, cow train, bee hive... It is on the pricier side if you are looking at only spending a short time there but for everything they include in the price it is well worth it! See more..

Thierbach Orchards & Berry Farm image
We spent a beautiful fall afternoon here & it was simply perfection. We had apple cider donuts & tried the apple cider slush...I would return just to have another cup of that. So good! Our daughter had a great time playing in the corn bins, running through the mazes, feeding the goats & driving the giant trikes. We rode hayride style to the apple orchard & picked ourselves a bag of apples, before we left we also picked up several pumpkins, some sweet treats & even a coloring book about pumpkins. It was a great family fun day & definitely what fall is all about. You can even pick up a whole meal at their convenient concession stand. We will be back again for sure. See more..

We have visited this farm every year for over 5 years now. They have all of the animals you'd expect to find on a farm, and its right on Hwy N off Hwy K. You wander around at your own pace and see and feed the animals and there are different things for the kids to do. They have a great corn maze each year and it's included in the price of admission, $7 or $8 each. Highly recommend a visit. See more..

Historic Weston Orchard & Vineyard image
I went with my teenage daughter and our friend in May for strawberries. Recent rain made the ground muddy so the picking fee was waived for the day, but there were plenty of strawberries to hunt. Afterward I loaded up on goodies from the shop including frozen strawberry lemonade and fresh-bakes strawberry donuts! We ended our nice day with donut-based strawberry shortcake. See more..

  20. 5.0 Bear Creek Farms (6 reviews)
    - LOVED Bear Creek Farms!
Thursday: Speciality & Gift Shops • Farms
We were looking for something to do in the Branson area and stumbled upon this apple orchard. It was FANTASTIC and our whole family loved it. We got there right when they opened and the owner let our kids feed the goats, chickens, and alpacas. We then picked apples (fujis, jonathans, and golden delicious). The kids then got to help make apple cider which was as good as any apple cider I have ever tasted. We also enjoyed their shop. If you drop by the shop, check out what's inside the boxes in the toy section. You won't be disappointed. See more..

We stopped by Gardener's Orchard and Bakery last week while passing through the area. We couldn't resist the warm strawberry doughnuts and coffee. They made the rest of our drive most pleasant. We purchased some freshly picked strawberries, some candied ginger and a jar of pear jam. All were amazing! The family who owns the place were super helpful and friendly. - Perfect for a quick visit or vacation
    Thursday: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM Farms
Beautifully designed home with views of gorgeous scenery from every window. We stayed at the Sunflower Hill Farm Estate for a family vacation. We were far enough away to disconnect but close enough to enjoy the local cuisines, shopping, and attractions. The kitchen is fully stocked with any appliance you may need while staying, but cooking isn't really needed as the cafe is in walking distance. The cafe serves the best lattes, the food is delicious (the cookies are a must have), and the staff are the most friendly people I have ever met. 10 out of 10, I highly recommend and look forward to vacationing here again. Peaceful Pastures Donkey Rescue image
PPDR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located on roughly 230 acres outside of Cole Camp and Lincoln, Missouri. Our mission is to end cruelty to donkeys by rescuing those who are abused, neglected, malnourished and elderly. We provide medical, nutritional and behavioral support to rehabilitate them with hopes of adopting them to carefully vetted, loving homes. We currently have over 200 donkeys, 4 mules, 2 hinnys, and 10 horses in our care. As a nonprofit, we rely on donations and fundraising to cover costs of feed and medical care for the donkeys, as well as maintaining grounds. We fundraise primarily through events and tours, and luckily all staff are unpaid volunteers. Tours are 3 hrs in duration and take you through the rescue process. We show you the facilities and explain the process from intake to adoption. Best of all, you have meet-and-greet opportunities with several very friendly rescues throughout the tour. Everyone who tours has a blast and several have returned. See more..
