    This is a nice place for all sorts of events. I always enjoy the Optimist Club Craft Show the first weekend in December every year. You should really come and check it out. They also have a nice theater for all kinds of entertainment. They host the Toys for Tots Christmas show the first weekend in December also. The International Country Gospel Music Association Awards are held here every year. See more..

    The local civic center offers a huge range of activities. From trade shows, concerts, plays, the county fair, high school graduations, school dances, and many other events are all held here. Inside there is a gym and indoor swimming pool which I believe are now part of the Lebanon Family YMCA. Outdoors there is a paved walking trail and veterans memorial. See more..

    Legacy Park in Lee’s Summit is a large community park with a variety of facilities for sports, physical activities and entertainment. The 5-mile long concrete paved trail traverses the perimeter of the park including about 1.5 miles next to busy highway. The next time I ride this trail I would avoid this section and stay with the rest of the trail through vegetation. Birds abound along the trail. So one could spend time bird-watching also. The inside loop around the small lake at the south end is very nice. The park also houses a Community center and an outdoor amphitheater. Surprisingly, I did not see a trail map anywhere on the trail. Perhaps, the map would have been available at the community center (which was closed when I visited). Legacy Park is a very beautiful place. See more..
