    - Great experience!
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums • Educational sites • History Museums
    Titanic Museum image
Everyone knows the name Titanic! Everyone knows Titanic struck an iceberg! And everyone knows Titanic was lost! She sat at the bottom of the ocean for 75 years before they found her in 1985. A second expedition to the wreck site went out in 1986 and that expedition was co-led by the owner of this museum. The artifacts you see throughout the ship are REAL and valued at over $4 million dollars. You'll be able to touch a growing iceberg, experience the 28 degree water, try and steer the ship and pay tribute to the 2,208 passengers and crew that were on the Titanic. You will enter as a guest and leave as a Titanic Passenger! See more..

    City Museum image
Don't take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We're four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there's the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge. See more..

    Pierce Arrow image
This is one show we always see when we are in Branson. Great show! Great singers! Great musicians! Half price tickets for the second night (different show) is very helpful on the budget. We took our 2, 18 year old granddaughters this year and they loved it. They were excited to go back the second night. See more..

  9. 4.5 Kauffman Stadium (2.575 reviews)
    - Great Stadium! Parking is Wild...
    Arenas & Stadiums
    Kauffman Stadium image
First time ever attending an MLB game at Kauffman Stadium and it was a lot of fun. There are plenty of seats and lots of amenities and entertainment throughout the game. Careful getting seats in right field as you have zero protection from the sun until it completely sets, but the seats were great. Parking is the only issue I have. You pay $20 or $30 for parking and it is complete chaos leaving at the end of the game. I highly recommend using a ride share service to get here. Overall, it was a great venue! See more..
  10. 4.5 Union Station (2.543 reviews)
    - Recommended visit, we were pleased
    Historic Sites
    Union Station image
We happened to be at a antique shop in West Bottoms where we chatted with the owner of the shop. He said we should go visit the Union Station which was built in 1914 after the original Kansas City Union Depot located in West Bottoms which used to be the original downtown but flooded badly in 1906. Anyway, we drove out to see the Union Station on our last day in KC, Thursday, March 9, 2023. It is an amazing building rivaling the Union Depot in Chicago, not quite Grand Central Station in NY, but still well worth a visit. It is free to visit the station public areas, but you must pay for parking if staying more than 30 minutes. There are several event areas and exhibits but those are also require paid admission. We were only staying for an hour or so. We viewed as much as we could for free. Great place to visit on a rainy day. See more..
  11. 4.5 Grant’s Farm (2.363 reviews)
    - A Day at Grant’s Farm
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM Spent 1-2 hours Farms
    Grant’s Farm image
This is the perfect place for all ages. We booked the Clydesdales Tour, which took 1.5 hours and it was well worth the $25 per person cost. Learned so much about this breed of horse and the training they go through. The $15 parking fee is all we had to pay to enter the grounds and it included the tram ride around the property. You could see the animals up close as you drive by. It stops at the courtyard where there are animals you can feed and activities for the kids. Great big food court with polka music playing while you eat. Lots to do and see. See more..
  12. 4.5 Branson Landing Fountain Show (2.359 reviews)
    - Bellagio 2.0
Thursday: 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks • Fountains
    Branson Landing Fountain Show image
Nighttime show with fire incorporated with the fountains was not quite the scale of the Bellagio in Vegas, but was great with fire, fountains, colored lights and music. They utilize firework sort of to launch the water higher, which could be scary for young kids possibly. The last sho of the night has fewer people. If you get too close and depending on the way the wind blows, those up front might get wet. There are a lot of restaurants and shops down near the show. I recommend seeing it after dark. See more..

  15. 4.5 Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery (2.018 reviews)
    - Nice Change-of-Pace Visit
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery image
It is interesting that you consistently see similar comments in the reviews of this place: (1) It is a good change of pace from go-carts, music shows, and mini-golf, (2) kids were not excited about going until they got there, and (3) it's free. All are true. Seeing that many fish in different sizes really is pretty neat. And if you spring a quarter for fish food, it looks like a piranha horror movie scene with all the fish going after the food. Com'on, you know you want to go see it, even if the kids are making fun of the fact you're making them go... See more..

You can’t get out of the golf cart when you’re in the cave but there are lots of photo spots to get out around the rock formations and waterfalls outside. To get to the museum you hop on a 5 minute shuttle and it runs often so we didn’t have to wait long. The museum was pretty extensive. We enjoyed seeing the prehistoric animals that we didn’t even know existed! See more..

    Old Courthouse image
Walk the halls where ordinary Americans made civil rights history. Built in 1839, the Old Courthouse is a prime example of mid-19th century federal architecture. But it is two landmark cases that secure its place in history. Beginning in 1847, the enslaved Dred Scott twice sued for his and his wife Harriet’s freedom. But, the U.S. Supreme Court decided against them, ruling that African-Americans were not citizens and had no right to sue. In 1873, St. Louis suffragette Virginia Minor and her husband filed a civil suit arguing for women’s right to vote. Although their suit was denied, they brought great attention to the fight for voting rights for all U.S. citizens. See more..

This is a great urban park that uses art to engage citizens, both adults and children and it is totally free to walk through. St Louis has about 20 pieces of sculpture art that it has used to create this downtown experience just west of the Arch and Courthouse. Going west from the Arch, St Louis had created a park mall through the city but originally left as green space. Two of the those bulks were converted to this Sculpture Garden that were beautiful, entertaining and active. My wife and I really enjoyed this and wish we had had more time to visit. I highly recommend you plan to stop by. Check out the pictures of the art. See more..

  50. 4.5 Stone Hill Winery (718 reviews)
    - One of my favorites, a classic, #1 attraction for a reason
    Thursday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Stone Hill Winery image
Established in 1847, and well before there was a Napa Valley wine industry, Stone Hill grew to be the second largest winery in the United States! Stone Hill wines were world renowned, winning gold medals in eight world's fairs, including Vienna in 1873 and Philadelphia in 1876. By the 1870's, the winery was shipping 1,250,000 gallons of wine per year. Unfortunately, Prohibition swept away the state's burgeoning wine industry interrupting and destroying Missouri's momentum in the industry. Stone Hill's labyrinth of arched underground cellars (the largest series in North America) were sidelined into harvesting mushrooms rather than wine, until 1965, when Jim and Betty Held bought the winery. Along with their young children, the Held's began the long process of restoring the historic buildings, cellars, and an industry which had fallen into disrepair. Jim and Betty's primary task: producing and marketing the finest wines that can be made and putting Hermann back on the map as a world-class wine producing area gained them repeated recognition throughout the past 50 years. Today Stone Hill is Missouri's oldest and most awarded winery. Stone Hill's yearly production is approximately 300,000 gallons of wine, using state-of-the-art equipment and the latest technology. Stone Hill's winemaking team produces wines that are again receiving international acclaim. Winning more than 4,000 awards since 1991, Stone Hill Winery has continuously ranked among the nation's top award winners. Norton, Missouri's official state grape - a big, full-bodied red - is the pride of Stone Hill. The 2011 Norton and 2012 Cross J Norton both won a trifecta of awards including the coveted Missouri Governor's Cup adding to 8 other Stone Hill Winery Governor Cup awards. Stone Hill also uses French-American hybrid grapes such as Vidal, Chardonel and Vignoles, making sophisticated wines leading Missouri to reclaim its viticulture history. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Stone Hill... See more..
