Great Stadium! Parking is Wild...

First time ever attending an MLB game at Kauffman Stadium and it was a lot of fun. There are plenty of seats and lots of amenities and entertainment throughout the game. Careful getting seats in right field as you have zero protection from the sun until it completely sets, but the seats were great. Parking is the only issue I have. You pay $20 or $30 for parking and it is complete chaos leaving at the end of the game. I highly recommend using a ride share service to get here. Overall, it was a great venue!

Fans Rock, Staff Was Less Than Stellar
Our family visits different baseball stadiums as vacation destinations. The K is beautiful, has great offerings for food, alcohol and kids entertainment. The fans we sat near at both games we attended were friendly and welcoming. However, the staff person that was in charge of checking tickets was inconsistent in their treatment of fans as we went to our seats. If my son went by, she didn’t say a word. If my mother went by and only had a screen shot of one of two tickets, staff let her by. When my husband and I came through, she yelled SIR SIR until we stopped. We showed her both tickets and told her the rest of the party was already sitting. She demanded to see all FIVE tickets on our phone yelling at us as we started to leave her to get to the seats. THEN, the mascot came up from behind me, removed my Cleveland hat, shook it at me and threw it on the ground. He proceeded to go over to another two Cleveland fans and stood on top of the seats in front of them, bringing his butt close to their faces and wagging it at them. Completely inappropriate. The mascot came back to me with a tub of pop corn and started throwing it at me. I am pretty sure that would NEVER happen to an opposing team’s fans at our Progressive Field. Overall, I’m left with completely mixed feelings—love KC and the people—not so much those who work for the “K”.

Good ballpark - bad ride sharing setup
Visited stadium for a Friday night game. The stadium is located Southeast of downtown KC. There is limited public transportation so you’ll be coming by car. We did Uber. Getting there was fairly easy. Entry into the stadium was a little slow but we eventually got in. Check their stadium policies online before going. Our tickets were in the Konica Club area behind home plate ($$$$). Great view of the field. We were able to order food from our seat. They have order takers assigned to the sections. Prices are pretty average. The service was a little slow. After 20 minutes, the server had to go get our food. Of course, someone else came with our food ten minutes later. $20 was included in the price of the ticket to use for food. They normally wait until the 7th inning to accept payment for the night. So you’ll have to insist on paying if you want to leave before then. Huge video board in centerfield. They have a small team providing entertainment between innings. There were a few video interludes as well. They do run a 50/50 raffle that you can purchase tickets for in the stadium or online. On Fridays, they have a fireworks show after the game ends. The worst part was leaving the stadium using rideshare. The designated pickup location is in the middle of Lot A. So in order for the pickups to occur, you have to wait for almost all of the parked cars to leave first. We had to wait for almost an hour.
