3.5LEGOLAND Discovery Center(1.055 reviews)from $29.29 - took 4 and 7 year old. both loved Thursday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Amusement & Theme Parks
took for a mid day time killer and spent three hours there. it has some really creative things for any age girl or boy. lots of hands on and visual items that engaged the kids a lot. they limit the crowd per hour so very seldom were we overwhelmed by other family. its not cheap but frankly it was worth the money See more..

If you want loads of people, lots of people noise, and some incredible winnings, well then is one of the casinos for you! You may want to pick your night or weekend times if you want a machine right away but there are many machines, mostly of the newer vintage. Clients by and large are nice and friendly. Staff, is spread a little thin, but are courteous and will ultimately get to you. This is a great place for a fun evening with friends or as is my case, a place to be around gobs of people you don't know; but feeling happy and hopefully lucky.See more..
3.0St. Louis Outlet Mall(125 reviews) - Great prices terrible service Thursday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
My kids and I would often frequent this mall. We have been back twice un the past month or so, both experiences were terrible. Stores are closing left and right Nike, Aeropostale, and Guess thus month alone. Prices are great there with closing sales. Today we walked into at least 10 stores and didnt even get greeted and the food court was even worse. I have never been around so many negative people that seem to hate their jobs. It did teach my kids a valuable lesson.. What not to be when you grow up. Last time we will be visiting!! I would rather pay more and have a great experience. See more..

3.5Cedar Lake Cellars(93 reviews) - Beautiful location Wineries & Vineyards
The winery is romantic, even in the middle of winter. Many lights with reflection of the lake make the winery truly memorable. Their main dining area is also very nice with a fireplace and several windows looking toward the lake. The wine and food are delicious. The only downside that we experienced was wait time, including our check. The restaurant was severely understaffed and it seemed that, literally, there was only one waitress with a few others trying to help with service. However, overall, it was a wonderful night.See more..
3.5Ozarkland(88 reviews) - Well worth it...especially if your in need of a good stretch! Thursday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
Okay....Ozarkland is a tourist trap...but well worth a stop. I've been stopping at Ozarkland for years as I drive frequently between Kansas City and Pennsylvania. Its situated on 1-70 between KC and St. Louis. If you're in need of a stop, just to stretch or get out of the car for a while, I don't know why you WOULDN'T stop. They have lots of souvevirs and whimsical items and is especially good if you to pick up a couple of items to keep the kiddos busy in the car. They have "road trip bingo and car bingo" and lots of little non-messy toys. They also have a candy counter and a WIDE variety of homemade fudge. Last weekend I picked up some strawberry shortcake fudge with was DIVINE! They also have warm, roasted and sweet nuts. I got a cone of warm sweet pecans.See more..

3.5Huzzah Valley Resort(59 reviews) - Glamping and Rafting this is the way to go! Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Kayaking & Canoeing
Staff was super nice and helpful. This was a great place to go for a group of people or a family reunion. We stayed at the Hiller House. So convenient. It was right across the street from the resort check-in so we had the store and restaurant. This house has 10 queen beds, 5 or 6 toilets and showers. Full size fridge, stove, microwave and coffee maker. I gave it four stars because there isn't any counters. So make sure you bring tables to set up in the kitchen for food prep. I also loved that the drop-in for the float was right across the street. Everyone was able to get great cell service unless you had Verizon. See more..
3.5Columbia Mall(52 reviews) - Nice Mall and good location Thursday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
Nice Mall I like the way the food court is all in one place. One level mall is also a plus. I'm from Kansas City, MO. Unfortunately malls seem to be slowly disappearing. In KC there are now only two big malls. Independence Mall and Oak Park Mall. Columbia Mall is much smaller, but well organized and a decent amount of shops. I always go there on game day weekends.See more..
More "stabbin" than cabin in my expert opinion but if youre into a cheap place to hang w friends, this is it. The basement doubles as a dunegeon that locks from the outside so all your nightmares can come true (dont ask how I know) Also, no need to bring cell phones. The fact there is no service adds to the adventure. All in all, exciting trip.See more..
A walk in Graham Cave State Park is a walk through ancient history. Artifacts uncovered in Graham Cave revealed that people were living in the cave more than 10,000 years ago. To walk through the park’s 386 acres of trees, trails and streams – including the diverse and scenic Graham Caves Glades Natural Area – is to walk in the footsteps of the hunter-gatherers who lived in the area’s caves during the ancient Dalton and Archaic period. Visitors are allowed in the mouth of Graham Cave, and exhibits detail the life researchers believe early inhabitants lived. The park is a prime hiking location and its campground is perfect for get-togethers when you want to camp in a quiet place. There’s boat access to the Loutre River and all the fishing you could possibly want.See more..

Look, this is a independent place that has some awesome animals, with a little bit of revenue and participation from the public this can be a greater place for the animals that live there. A little paint and some clean up this is a great place for kids and grown ups to see some animals up close. Especially the Tigers & Lions! The people that run this place seem to care, although they lost a great employee due to an unfortunate circumstance. Go see!See more..
3.5Red Fox Winery(41 reviews) - Lunch on return from lake Wineries & Vineyards
Had great lunch - great halfway spot for a stop! Chicken kebab plate with grilled veggies and ribeye steak salad - the house balsamic was yummy. Drank a bottle of “3 oaks red” and one more to go. Lovely hostess. Nice outdoor patio if hot because it’s shaded. Great girlfriend weekend tour stop! Wine tastings at the bar. Give this place a try! It’s a couple miles off hi-way on gravel road and worth seeking out! Treat yourself to a visit! They’ve worked hard on this place!See more..

3.0Bordertown Casino(36 reviews) - New Casino & Hotel coming for Bordertown Casinos
I love Bordertown. The people are very friendly and helpful. Food okay. Bordertown is the best Casino in the area, bar none.See more..

Complete with a beautifully landscaped and spacious RV Park, and multiple dining options, it's a favorite of locals and visitors alike. We are located alongside the Mississippi River a few miles north of Hannibal MO on Hwy. 61.See more..
First off the people at the Landing were wonderful took us up the river and got us into our raft no problems at all. However this would be a 10/10 float trip except for the idiots in their boats that fly up and down the river dodging in and out of all the rafts, canoes, tubes, etc. I’m honestly surprised that there isn’t more accidents. We did the 9 mile float which was great then the second day we went South of Van Buren to big springs in our own kayaks and it was another spectacular trip besides the idiots in the boats. If you are unfamiliar with boating rules don’t worry about it they don’t know either. Just keep your head on a swivel and enjoy nature at its finest. See more..
3.0Brookdale Farms(31 reviews) - Not a place for toddlers. Horse-Drawn Carriage Tours
Second visit to this place. Nothing changed from 4 years ago. There is not enough activities geared for toddlers. The inflatable slide is too high for some children. The zip line is only for older kids. The corn box is a horse trough with a layer of corn in it. The only thing good was the "cow train", which is little barrels painted like cows, pulled by a four wheeler. The adult fee $9 is too high, since no adults actually partake of the activities, and only serve as a chauffeur to get the kids there, the price should be lower. The hayride was ok. They were very disorganized on the weekday we were there. Not enough help to staff all areas. Pumpkin "patch" is a few pumpkins laying in an open field and some on a table and in a box. They have a corn cannon and a slingshot, which is aimed too close to the area where the hayride travels. There were horses in stalls, as well as free roaming goats, some chickens, etc. Save your money and time and go elsewhere.See more..
I really liked this antique mall. Most of the prices seemed reasonable. The set-up was nice and it was well lit. Some of the spaces seemed a little overcrowded which made you afraid to walk in any further for the fear of breaking something. But I would definitely visit again.See more..
3.5Playtime Arcade & Bar(30 reviews) - Fun place for the grandchildren Thursday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Bowling Alleys • Bars & Clubs • Game & Entertainment Centers

The Battle of Carthage was the earliest full-scale battle of the Civil War, preceding Bull Run by 11 days. Battle of Carthage State Historic Site contains a quiet meadow and the spring that made the area an encampment for both the Union and Confederate troops during the battle. The area is little changed in its appearance since the battle was fought on July 5, 1861. A few minutes off of Interstate 44, the site interprets the battle that set the stage for a decisive showdown a month later at Wilson’s Creek.See more..
3.0Uncle Ike's Trail Ride(28 reviews) - Deborah & the horses were good! Horseback Riding Tours
Ok, we were first time riders with a 9 year old kid in tow too. Connie (scheduler) was gruff on the phone & pretty much rude in person. We were 10 min. Late ( lost) & called to let them know. We got there & she asked if we needed to use outhouse first, we said yes,.then she said we are putting her behind schedule..(what the heck? Make up your mind!). It was a 3 second course in riding as your horse is taking off! I was scared half to death for the first few minutes as I guess my horse 'jackson' I guess was testing me...stopping to eat..& again & again..! I finally figured him out about 10 min later & it was fun after that. My daughter rode diamond, which did perfectly. My hubby rode dexter who also was a gem. The trail is curvy & has some steep hills. We had 1 instructor riding in front, Deborah who was great!! I would've felt better with one in the rear too as my child was back there. Overall, if you have experience I think this place would be okay. But if you are a newbie, I'd look for somewhere more flat or take lessons!!!See more..
3.5Enchanted Frog Antiques(26 reviews) - Lots of fun old things Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Antique Shops
My wife and I are in our mid 50s and we saw many things that we remember seeing in our grandparents and parents houses when we were little. What I liked best is that the strange things were all labeled so that you knew what it was. Things from only a couple bucks and up.See more..
3.5Persimmon Ridge Winery(25 reviews) - Good wine ang great customer service! Thursday: Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
My husband and I stopped by this winery today. We had been a couple times before as it is fairly close to our house. The road leading up to the winery is not very nice - lots of ruts in the road and trailers and other houses with lots of junk in the yards. Once you get back to the winery (1/2 mile) there is a nice view of the vineyards. The lady pouring the wine for the wine tasting was very nice. She let us a try a couple different wines, gave us wine glasses to use, and then offered us fruit salad and a freshly cut watermelon. They treated you like family. Wines are available by the bottle (most are in the $18 range) or by the glass (for $5). They were supposed to have music today but I assume it was cancelled due to the rain. Great place to spend a Sunday afternoon. I believe they are only open Friday - Sunday but will open during the week if the owner is home and not busy.See more..
3.0Factory Stores Of America(25 reviews) - Small Mall Thursday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Flea & Street Markets

3.0Sainte Genevieve Winery(25 reviews) - excellent wine, small tasting room Wineries & Vineyards The Ste Genevieve winery has a very small tasting area, but is conveniently located in Ste Genevieve in the historic district. If you like fruit wines (on the sweet side), this is the place to go. The wine maker uses plenty of fruit and makes exceptional fruit wines. The cranberry tastes like liquid cranberry sauce. The strawberry is like liquid strawberry jam. Award winning.See more..

3.5Dirty Don's Bargain Center(22 reviews) - Bargain lovers & those who "understand" expiration dates Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
If you can ignore an old building that is border line dumpy and enjoy looking through food and merchandise...some items you were never buy...but some you will grab as a great bargain...then this place is a good place for you! You also need an intelligent understanding of what expiration dates mean on different food items to shop here...for example I would never buy or consume milk that is way past the expiration date...it can make you sick...but something like chips or crackers the only concern with the expiration date is "does its still taste fresh and is it still crisp?" if the taste is good and it's still crisp, an old expiration date will not hurt you to eat things like chips, crackers and most food items in sealed cans or jars. DANGER BEWARE=any bulging can, even if the date has not expired! If you don't have a good understanding of the above don't shop here!See more..
The Meramec River and Calvey Creek bound Roberstville State Park, creating unlimited outdoor opportunities. Boat launches and easy water access make fishing and boating along the peaceful Meramec easy. The park's landscape includes scenic bluffs along the river, and a patchwork of hardwood forests, rich river bottomlands, and clearings that date to when the park was a working farm in the early 1900s. Waterfowl lovers love Robertsville for the diversity of birds that use the park’s waters, and families love Robertsville’s quiet campgrounds and picnic areas.See more..
This place was closed last time we were in Hannibal, so it was one of the first places we hit when we were here again! All the wax figures were lumped together in one room, and the "haunted" part was just that: a small "haunted" area I think was a hallway with rooms partitioned off with displays. Yes, it was kind of small and cheesy, but we liked it! Shouldn't be too scary for little ones.See more..
3.5Montserrat Vineyards(19 reviews) - Beautiful Sunset and Good Wine Too! Wineries & Vineyards
Montserrat Vineyards is a great place to hang out with friends or even as a couple. They have an excellent choice of wines to taste, all a product of the vineyards that surround you. Once you have decided on a wine, you may purchase small food trays with cheese, meats, fruit, and bread, and pick a shady spot to relax and enjoy. They have a large, covered deck as well as other seating on the grounds, all located at the top of a hill surrounded by their vineyards and a picture perfect Westerly view of the sunset. The cost for wine and snacks is reasonable, and the view can't be beat!See more..
3.0Jesse James Wax Museum(19 reviews) - Untrue - Disproved by 1995 DNA Test results Speciality Museums
Stopped on spur of moment traveling, tickets $12.00 each…thought we’d check it out as we enjoy Civil War History. Typical tourist trap gift shop. Interesting, but misleading, short film shown first. There are some nice antiques throughout the museum. The wax figures are so old and unmaintained they have darkened excessively. Nice collection of antique guns. HOWEVER, in 1995 DNA texting was done on a tooth from Jesse James grave and texted against two descendents. Proven to 99.7% that Jesse James is not the man portrayed to have lived to over 100 yrs old! Carnival Hoax. Another “Anastasia” claiming to be the Russian czarina who was killed with her family.See more..
3.0Mark Twain Landing(18 reviews) - Nice place, huge campground / resort Spent More than 3 hours Water Parks
This is a nice place. Campers, cabins, tents and they even have condos. Big store with a small restaurant, pool, pond and most sites have a concrete pad. The road for pull thrus is the only unsaved road. Site was easy to pull in to and the tree did not interfere with our satellite. Wifi was pretty good, just a little bit slow but not bad. People were very nice and offered to escort us to our site. I would stay here again.See more..
This mall is not too bad for a U.S. mall, but it's still not what it once was. I'm guessing it may suffer the same fate as Metro North someday, but I hope I'm wrong. Americans have really moved away from indoor malls over the years but should look to see how amazing and successful they are in Asia for some ideas.See more..
3.5Tipple Hill Winery & Vineyard(15 reviews) - First winery east of the Missouri River in Buchanan County, Missouri! Thursday: 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
A very nice new facility offering a variety of fruit wines and single varietals made from California grapes! This is a great location for a weekend picnic lunch on their deck overlooking vineyards and Highway 36. It is a new vineyard so the grapes are still coming in with many improvements planned according to the Vintner, Ron Hayes. I enjoyed the "Breathe Easy" Strawberry wine, and we took a bottle of the D-Mac's Apple Delight wine home with us. We were able to purchase some smoked gouda and crackers there for our impromptu wine picnic! Tastings are free!See more..
3.0Stonehenge at Missouri S&T(15 reviews) - Learned alot Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
I wouldn't rate this as a travel destination, but since we were in Rolla for the night we decided to see this. While other reviewers were correct that it wasn't an actual replica, it was still worth the time to go. My husband remarked that he learned more from reading the plaques and standing next to the stones than from watching all the History Channel shows about Stonehenge. And since we're never going to make it to England, this is as close as we can get! We enjoyed it. See more..
A visit to Big Oak Tree State Park is a visit to Missouri as the first explorers saw it. Towering hickory trees and oaks form a canopy that averages more than 120 feet in height and the soaring trees and marshy terrain translates visitors back to when southeast Missouri was dubbed “Swampeast Missouri.” The trees and wetlands make the park a prime place for wildlife as well as picnic sites and a shelter that are shaded by trees that have seen centuries of history. A self-guided boardwalk trail and an overlook have feature interpretive panels that tell the story of this rich landscape.See more..

The Lewis and Clark Expedition headed west in 1804 and encountered a lake that William Clark described as “full of Geese & Goslings.” Today, that lake is Lewis and Clark Lake, which is bordered by Lewis and Clark State Park. The park’s broad open spaces make it a favorite for families who take advantage of the scenic picnic areas and playground. Bird watchers come to Lewis and Clark to watch geese, great blue herons, eagles, swans and snowy egrets flock to the oxbow lake throughout the seasons.See more..
