4.5Krannert Art Museum(53 reviews) - On campus, extremely interesting collections Saturday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Art Museums
We're primarily interested in modern art and were not disappointed. Large collection, interestingly displayed. Free, of course, since it's part of the U of I and we were able to find a metered parking space right in front. Well worth a couple of hours of your time, especially on a rainy day.See more..
We were driving from Schaumburg to the Naperville Art Fair and had an hour or so on a Sunday morning. We found this place on Trip Advisor and thank you thank you thank you to the reviewer for giving us a best address to put into our phone Prairie Center for the Arts, which is located at 201 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg, IL 60193 There were a few people walking around, dad with kids, photographers, a great blue heron and a family of swans, mom, dad and baby. I was touched by this calm beautiful meditative place, if I lived here I'd go every day. A great place to spend an hour, walk around, and take some photos.See more..

The Lizzadro Museum recently relocated to Oak Brook. We opened our doors in our new facility on November 12, 2019. Our museum was founded by Joseph Lizzadro in order to share his love of Lapidary Art with others. The Museum opened its doors in Elmhurst on November 4, 1962 with this statement of purpose from the Lizzadro Family, "To share with others our enjoyment of the eternal beauty in gemstones and our appreciation of the art with which man has complemented the works of nature". The museum is still owned and operated by the Lizzadro Family.See more..

A lot about the local history (UP to [LOL] and including Robert Wadlow) the world's tallest person. They have on display his graduation cap & gown with some interesting facts about it along with some of his shoes, masonic ring and other artifacts. Actually the little museum is packed with local information and well displayed! I recommend this museum if you can find it open and have the time. There are 2 or 3 reserved parking spaces directly behind the museum reserved for visitors. Enjoy! We sure did!See more..

5.0Richard W. Bock Sculpture Museum(2 reviews) - Thanks to Dr. Donald Hallmark Spent 1-2 hours Art Galleries • Speciality Museums • Art Museums
If it wasn't for Dr. Donald Hallmark, a researcher at Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois, we might not be aware of sculptor Richard W. Bock and his marvelous collection that has been displayed in the historic Almira College House at 215 East College Avenue on the Greenville College campus since 1972. The collection includes more than 300 drawings, documents and photographs and over 300 bronze and plaster sculptures. In addition, some of Frank Lloyd Wright's work which had never before been displayed became part of the collection. Renovated in 2007, the museum has been redesigned as a more fitting home for Bock's masterpieces. The works include an outdoor sculpture, Spring. Who was Bock? He was an American sculpture and an associate of Frank Lloyd Wright who was particularly known for his sculptural decorations for architecture and military memorials. He collaborated with Wright from 1896 to 1913. After Bok's death in 1949, Dr. Hallmark learned that Bok's son and daughter had kept many of their father's works in storage. In 1972, he brought the collection to Greenville College. There are numerous personal letters in the collection written by Bok, Wright and other famous artists and architects, paintings by Harry Wallace Methven, Bok's brother-in-law, ornate gilded picture frames and wood-working tools on display.See more..
