We went with our family of 4 plus an extra. We are experience escape room enthusiast. We've done almost 200 rooms. We did The Dragons Heart and Kraken Casino. Both a true to theme, and have theme inspired puzzles. If you are enthusiasts, they do sell the rooms to other locations. We did Uncle Tick Tock's circus in Napa. So check the room names prior to booking. Location: This is located in downtown Plainfield. Good location. In the same location, they have Axe throwing which we didn't do, they have some old video games (see pictures), and a 2 min escape room/box which we didn't try - next time. New to escape rooms: If you haven't done an escape room before, it's like a 3D puzzle, with many different types of puzzles. You never know if you'll get something like a cross word, fill in the words, sudoko, or many, many other unique to game type puzzles. You are not truly 'locked in' , it's just on your honor. This location allows both unlimited clues and you are to leave and return (time keeps going). If it's your first escape game, definitely let your game master know since there are hints and nudges the game master can provide to help with your first room. It's also good to start with the easiest escape room (or highest escape rate room). Again, ask the game master which is the best to start.See more..

We actually had a full group last year that went and had a good time so I decided to book again just recently. I found a deal through Groupon for the Hoffman Estates location and it was CLEARLY posted on the groupon advertisement. I purchased the Groupon and then tried to book my event. However, I was very disappointed that they refused to honor my Groupon because they claimed it was a mistake that Groupon made about the location. The gentleman I spoke to even saw the Groupon listed at the Hoffman Estates location and admitted that to me but told me that the business owner won't honor it and that I would have to contact Groupon to work it out. As a customer I do not agree with how this was handled. They should have honored this Groupon. I obviously had to go back and cancel my order which will take 10 business days to process back to my account. I have now moved my business to a different escape room and will no longer consider Panic Room for future events NOR will I recommend it to any of my friends and family. My advice is be careful and really make sure they are clear on any discounts and deals ahead of time, they may just change their mind or decide to not allow them. OR maybe just find a more reliable escape room in your area.See more..
