    We went fly fishing with Will and highly recommend Big River Fly if you want to catch Smallmouth in IL. From start to finish, Will was helpful to ensure we had an enjoyable time on the river. He even let me borrow sunglasses since I left mine in the truck. He gave us a short cast lesson when we got on the boat to build on our prior trout fishing experience and gave us helpful feedback throughout.     A large group of my students went for an afternoon fish with Shawnee Expeditions. Many of the kids have not been fishing before and the tour guide was great at making the information easy and fun for them and going more in-depth with the kids who knew more.     I went through Wet n Wild outfitters 2 years ago for their ice fishing experience. The guides had everything set up for us, rods, seats. And shelter (it was warm enough to not need heaters). All we had to do was bring our cooler, a grill and some snacks. Every person in our group caught at least 1 fish either in the clam or out in the open.
