    - Awesome for children of all ages!

This museum is simply awesome. It has activities, play rooms, and events for infants, toddlers, and kids. My toddler especially LOVED the SplashZone (bring a change of clothes like they suggest, seriously!) and the Young Explorers areas (for children under two). But she enjoyed the whole museum and would have kept us there for many more hours if her naptime hadn't intervened. We will definitely be going back; we converted our admission into a family membership before we left the building. And even though it's geared at kids, we had a blast too! The cafe was delicious, healthy, and reasonably priced AND offered food our toddler actually ate. The family bathrooms are really well designed and, for nursing moms, there's also a comfy, private nursing room! This is a wonderful community resource. See more..

I gave a private birthday here for my 4 yr old. The museum was very clean and the children enjoyed themselves very much. Although small, there's 2 floors of things to do, a nice sized party room with fridge and microwave and the staff was extremely nice. The children didn't want to leave. I definitely recommend this place for 9 and under. See more..

Crawford County is where the Heath Candy Bar was created. The Heath Family was instrumental in a lot of developments in the area. The air in Robinson still smells like candy several days out of the month because of the large Hershey Plant in town. The Heath Museum on the square has many historical pieces and a place to purchase candy, as well as fountain drinks. See more..

  11. 5.0 SRE Playland (1 review)
    - Great for kids!
    Spent 2-3 hours Children's Museums
We stayed in the Starved Rock State Park area (IL) for a few days and needed something to do the afternoon we arrived for my toddler to burn of energy after the long car ride. This was perfect! It is not a massive place, so there was no concern of her getting lost and her (or me!) freaking out, and it had a little of everything; sand, slide, kitchen, cars, foam pit, chalk walls etc. In addition, the person staffing (Lexi) was so sweet and accommodating! They also have a small room for eating, so are able to hold birthday parties. In addition, on the same premises is an escape room - what a win! See more..
