Two Heads are Better Than One in Majestic Lords Park Natural History Museum

This neoclassical gem is the oldest natural history museum in Illinois that is still housed in its original building. Parts of the collection reflect the late Victorian era safari animal mounts of the museum's donor G.P. Lord, Audubon collection of birds and bird eggs. LaSalle Expedition collection here. Interactive exhibits on ecology; traveling exhibits from Smithsonian. Several temporary exhibits throughout each year on world cultures. Museum has a great annual Day of the Dead remembrance, Native American Cultural Days, Bubblefest, and more. Great family Science Nights. Nearby Bison enclosure and Zoo. This is a fun, funky and informative museum.

Website said they were open, gate entrance said they would be open!
This museum is not listed correctly. They are only open Saturday and Sunday 12 pm to 4 pm. Website list times as Tuesday trough Sundays 12 pm to 4 pm as does the sign at the entrance to the site. Very disappointing as grand kids where on spring break and wanted to take them there.. need to up date information.
