5.0Whistling Man Schooner Company(988 reviews) - Smooth Sailing on Lake Champlain Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Historical & Heritage Tours • Boat Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Boat Rentals
We had the most wonderful time on a classic sloop called Friend Ship yesterday sailing with Diddy and Yeo out of Burlington, VT. After a quick, but thorough safety talk, we set sail on what the Captain called a “Goldilocks”day with perfect wind conditions. Diddy and Yeo worked seamlessly together to give us the smoothest sail we have ever experienced. The 2 hr trip was filled with interesting facts and lore about Lake Champlain and the surrounding area. We ate our lunch and then enjoyed putting our feet in the water as we explored the lake. If you plan on visiting the Burlington area, we highly recommend making a reservation online. We got one of the last time slots available for the week we visited so reserve early and don’t miss out. It was definitely a highlight of our vacation and we will be back next year.See more..

5.0Great Bike Tours(419 reviews) - Best Vacation Ever! Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Bike Tours
From the very first night when we met our guides Simon, Elliot, and John in Dunedin, to the last day of the trip in Christchurch, our group was transported across the south island of New Zealand with comfort and care. The hotel accommodations and the food was the best that could be had in each of our locations. The experiences provided were unique and unforgettable. The care and concern of our guides for each traveler was genuine. The team changed bike pedals and seats, and worked hard to provide each of us with a comfortable ride according to our needs. Some guests were reluctant to try new experiences, but found themselves being delighted by the persistence and leadership of our guides that ushered them through activities they'd never done before. The exceptional planning and professionalism of GBT made this trip worth every penny.See more..
5.0City Brew Tours Burlington(401 reviews) - A must-do in Burlington for craft beer lovers! Thursday: 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM Beer Tastings & Tours
My husband and I did the Classic Brew Tour through Burlington yesterday, and we could not be more impressed with the City Brew Tours experience - the caliber of the tour itself, the breweries we visited, and our tour guide all exceeded our expectations. The cost was more than reasonable for the beer and food that were included. The booking process was simple and smooth; the tour ran efficiently without us feeling rushed. Our guide, Kianna, was warm, funny, knowledgeable, and made the experience memorable. Her narration of the history of beer in between stops was humorous and educational! Lastly, each of the breweries we visited were welcoming and friendly, and the brews and food we sampled were top-notch. I would not hesitate to recommend City Brew Tours to anyone looking to enjoy local craft brews in a fun, unique way without worrying about driving.See more..
5.0Burlington Segways(359 reviews) - The Burlington Segway tour covers a lot of distance like a hop-on-hop-off tour but with the intimacy of a walking tour. Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Segway Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Sightseeing Tours
Rick’s knowledge and oration of Burlington’s history while touring around on the Segway was equivalent to watching a great documentary on the city. We learned how to navigate with the Segway and I would put the experience up there with the best Hop-on-hop-off tour. It is a must if you are coming in to Burlington.See more..

5.0Umiak Outdoor Outfitters(286 reviews) - Gateway to Heaven on Earth Thursday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Boat Tours • Gear Rentals • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
Umiak has earned my highest five-star recommendation. From the moment I contacted them regarding trip arrangements for canoe-into-site camping, Michael was more than accommodating, directing us to an ideal spot, making arrangements to ensure a wonderful experience, offering availability for whatever we might need, and giving us a quick but clear and effective tutorial on strapping a canoe to our car and reaching our gorgeous, pristine, and peaceful destination without incident. He even gave us great advice about places to go throughout the rest of our New England adventure that enhanced the trajectory of our itinerary. This was by far the best service and most positive experience I’ve encountered among any outdoor sports and recreation provider I’ve used.See more..

5.04 Points VT(253 reviews) - AMAZING TOP NOTCH EXPERIENCE!!! Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Bike Tours • Beer Tastings & Tours
Traveled to VT from the midwest, reached out to a company looking for a guide to ride with my 15 year old son. First company didn't respond, but Rick was super responsive, identified our need for a fast guide to ride with our son & arranged for everything. The communication was amazing, the speed with which he was able to find a guide & set everything up was top notch. Very impressed with Rick's customer service. Also my son had an absolute blast with Coach Mike - perfect fit & beyond our expectations. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 4 Points VT for your mountain biking needs - you won't be disappointed!!! Thanks again for everything! We appreciate it.See more..
John from ATA made our weekend camping trip to Vermont exciting. We did the Caving and Kayaking adventure. We were new to caving, so we did a cave that wasn’t too difficult. Still, the ability to stretch and lift yourself up a little is required. It was challenging and fun, exactly what my girlfriends and I were looking for. Kayaking was done in a gentle river, and it was like paddling through a maze. I highly recommend booking these activities if you’re looking for something to do on your trip. John is friendly and easygoing and he offers a variety of activities from sightseeing to caving!See more..
Dog Mountain is a nonprofit set on 150 acres on a private mountain top spot in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. The grounds are open from dawn til dusk to people and their dogs. Artist Stephen Huneck and his wife, Gwen, bought the property in 1995. They turned the barn into studio space. After Stephen’s unique visionary experience, the world famous Dog Chapel was built. The unspoiled haven is covered with hiking trails and dog ponds. Wildflowers abound in the summer and snow-shoeing is a favorite activity in the winter. Year after year, the Dog Chapel and the Stephen Huneck Gallery get more and more visitors from all over the world. Leashes are optional on Dog Mountain. Dogs are not just welcome here, they are cherished! Dogs are free to run, play, swim and, best of all, meet other dogs! It's great to hear from travelling visitors and local residents alike how much Dog Mountain means to them and their dogs.See more..

I can't say enough good things about this company! We were scheduled for a flight on Sunday morning. On Saturday we got a call that the weather wasn't looking great for Sunday but he had an opening that night. We took it! The weather was perfect. They picked us up at the hotel and drove us to the launch site. We were given great safety instructions then got to watch the steps of inflating. We had such a clear night and sailed over the Lake (even got a nice dip). The boaters made us feel like movie stars with all their cameras and horn honking! We had a perfect flight with a very smooth landing. Never even felt a bounce. The ground crew was ready and waiting with champagne and chocolates. It was a nice touch to have our pictures waiting at the end!See more..
5.0The Dog Chapel(155 reviews) - A must-see, whether you have a dog or not. Thursday: Architectural Buildings
Artist and author Stephen Huneck created the one-of-a-kind Dog Chapel to be in his words, “A place where people can go and celebrate the spiritual bond they have with their dogs. It is the largest artwork of my life and the most personal.” Thousands of people from around the world visit the Dog Chapel each year. The interior walls are covered floor to ceiling with photos, drawings, letters, and keepsakes left as memorials to beloved departed pets. The chapel is a place of quiet and colorful beauty, gentle humor, and profound love. A visit there is a unique and moving experience for all animal lovers. “When you visit the Dog Chapel you are totally enveloped with messages of love. It is a very moving experience - sad, certainly, but also uplifting - to see how much everyone cherishes his or her dog. Grieving for a lost dog is one aspect of the Dog Chapel, but equally important is celebrating the joy of living and the bond between dogs and their owners.” -Stephen HuneckSee more..

5.0Eden Dogsledding(107 reviews) - A wonderful time ! Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Tours
We truly enjoyed our time at Eden Dogsledding from the first moment we stepped out of our car. We were welcomed by the howling of all the dogs and then by the joyful and playful embrace and welcome of some of them. We are thankful that Jim (the owner) allows for time to get to know the dogs, their special traits, their story, and to freely interact with them. It was fun and interesting to get them ready and see the dogs' excitement right before they got ready to be hooked up to the cart. The ride was beyond expectation: it was fun, exciting, energetic! I think we must have asked Jim hundreds of questions which he gladly answered and even added some of his adventures with dogsledding competitions. Thank you Jim and your team of dogs: Fred, Tuna, Grizzly, Melvin, Babouche, Jersey, Mitsy, Arrow, Brain, and Aslan!!!See more..
5.0Lajoie Stables(99 reviews) - Beautiful ride through a stunning VT landscape Horseback Riding Tours
On a whim, considering a little birthday wish my daughter had been hoping for, we called LaJoie. I didnt even leave a message, bc I figured there was no way we could get a same-day reservation. A lovely woman called me right back and said, I think we can squeeze you in. Within a few hours, we were hopping onto the backs of the sweetest horses, led by an even more fantastic guide (Hayley) and just overall had a once in a lifetime (for us city folks anyway) experience. My daughter was beside herself with happiness and we all felt as if we all had the most special vacation memory by riding horses peacefully through the Vermont woods for an hour. We saw some deer and wild turkeys to round out the animal experience. The cool all woman team running Lajoie are very professional and we would go back in a heartbeat. I highly recommend a ride at LaJoie. See more..
5.0Inn To Inn(92 reviews) - Perfectly planned....all we had to do was pedal! Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Self-Guided Tours & Rentals
We typically arrange for a European cycling tour each year, but this year we were stymied by Covid, so we decided to stay in the US. We came across InntoInn.com and it looked appealing. The ten of us in our group decided this trip would be a reasonable distance from Maryland, and thus a great alternative. We took the tour in the third week of August at a time when Vermont encountered a hurricane and a weather advisory. Our first biking day was rained out so we toured Woodstock, VT, a pleasant alternative. After that, we were able to have five days of rain-free biking. We biked most days to a new destination (B&B), while one day we simply biked a loop back to our B&B for a second night. The tours are highly configurable. The lodging (B&B's), and restaurants, the routes, and the organization of the trip were all above our expectations. We would highly recommend. We averaged about 35 miles a day, but other length rides were available. Most of the rides were on back roads with little traffic. Kudos to Seth for his oversight and coordination of our trip.See more..

5.0Weston Priory(72 reviews) - The epitome of peace. Religious Sites
In every sense of the word it is peaceful. The music that they produce is gentle and soothing, but with meaning and spirituality behind it. I probably would not recommend it as a place for young children, just out of consideration for the other visitors and the overall atmosphere is too sedate for their energy, and they may get bored easily there. It is important to know that the priory is not necessarily Catholic in character, but rather completely open to all who can appreciate a quiet life of spiritual contemplation.See more..

5.0New England Falconry(62 reviews) - Excellent experience! Spent 1-2 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
I was very satisfied with the experience my family had at New England Falconry in May 2022. My 11 y.o. daughter was thrilled at the up-close interactions with "Audubon" the Harris Hawk and "Alba" the Barn Owl. I wanted to give a particular shoutout to Jessica, the truly wonderful trainer who worked with us. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about the birds, but she was clear to understand and added humor to make the experience even more memorable. She was an absolute joy to work with!!See more..
My fiancé and I went on a whim and had an amazing time! We found this studio on a map of the Stowe area and after inquiring, found out that you can make your own pieces. Due to COVID restrictions there were some limitations, but even with the limitations there were a good amount of options. Michael was very fun to work with and made the experience that much better. He was very flexible with scheduling the time for us to come in and the session only took an hour. We did this the last day of our trip not realizing how long the pieces take to cool, and Michael arranged to have them shipped to our home. Would highly recommend to couples or a group looking for a unique experience.See more..

I don't have enough good things to say about Husky Works. We drove up in a snowstorm and were 45 minutes late and they were so sweet when we arrived. Although they knew we were running behind, they sure didn't act like it was a bother. It was snowing about as hard as it could and they were still excited to take us out and show us what the dogs could do. The dogs were amazing, the stop at the cabin was really enjoyable (amazing cookies and hot cocoa!!!) and we all felt like we learned so much about the sport, the dogs, the family. I hope everyone gets a chance to do this once in their life, it really was so much fun! Thanks!See more..
5.0Peace Pups Dog Sledding(46 reviews) - Amazing adventure Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Tours
We went out with Ken, Gabby and the dogs on 1/9 at 10am. I went with 3 of my girl friends, this is something we have wanted to do for a very long time. Ken and Gabby are such great people! Spent time answering many questions we had about sledding, about the dogs and so many other things. It was like we were old friends. Being a HUGE dog lover mad this even more fun for me. I loved getting to play with the dogs, harness them up and then give them treats and more love when we got back. Nice warm tent with a wood stove and hot chocolate when you get back too! I would go back and go sledding with these guys any day! Highly recommend Peace Pups if you are looking to go sledding.See more..

5.0Vermont Bike & Brew(45 reviews) - Harpoon Brewery Tour Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Bike Tours • Beer Tastings & Tours • Self-Guided Tours & Rentals
Vermont Bike & Brew's Harpoon Brewery Tour was a memorable experience marked by scenic views, yummy lunch, and a good workout, capped off with great beer flights and snacks at Harpoon Brewery! The e-bikes were in mint condition, easy to use, and definitely helped some of the steeper hills of the backroads that gave us remarkable views of the mountains and the start of the foliage season. Lunch at Brownsville Butcher & Pantry was a great midpoint stop for our 10 a.m.-2 p.m. ride (we recommend the fried chicken sandwich and kale grain bowl). Ending the tour at Harpoon Brewery with beer flights (and snacks) was a wonderful way to decompress from the nearly 30-mile bike ride. Jonas (owner of Vermont Bike & Brew) was fantastic from the beginning, going above and beyond with his customer service, communication, and friendliness. We highly recommend Vermont Bike & Brew and hope we can do another one in the future!See more..

5.0Lamoille Valley Bike Tours(44 reviews) - Very Highly Recommended Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Self-Guided Tours & Rentals
A wonderful experience and great people. I've done this about six times. The scenery is beautiful and you experience it at the rate you want. With ebikes you can have a group of people at varying levels of ability and still stick together. If part of the reason you are here in VT is for beer, then this experience is perfect -- you can take off from Johnson, go to the (current) end of the trail past Morrisville, turn around then on the way back stop at Lost Nation, which has a wide and excellent selection of beer and full menu. Most important, the owners and employees have been consistently kind. At one point the guy waited around an additional two hours past closing time because one member of our group had a problem. They are expanding the trail soon and these folks may offer a multi-day experience. Can't wait!See more..

5.0Lost Nation Theater(42 reviews) - Delightful Vermont summer stock at its finest! Theaters
About"One of the best regional theaters in America" -NYC Drama LeagueMissionLNT's founder, Kim Bent, grew up in Braintree, Vermont on a hill farm that looks across the East Granville Valley toward the Braintree Mountains. One particular part of the range is known locally as "Lost Nation." For locals it is a special place. A place to dream and reflect. There's a lovely view, but it's mainly a place to camp, hike, and hunt-a challenging place to get to and to come back from.As Kim traveled the country he realized there are many "lost nations" throughout America. Almost always rural, often remote and almost never on maps, they are known only by the people who live near them.So "Lost Nation" says something real to us about our vision and our mission. It locates us out there, on the frontier, breaking boundaries, doing dramatic and courageous things. Yet it grounds us, identifies us as belonging to a place and to a community. We work hard at integrating our programs with the community. We feel privileged to have been able to make a strong positive contribution toward the "good life" here in Vermont. Despite the on-going long hours, the journey continues to be a deeply satisfying one.Commitment to Community is fundamental to Lost Nation:The Theater with Heart in the Heart of Vermont. Company OverviewLost Nation Theater prides itself on being a professional theater committed to community.
