  10. 3.0 Grand View Winery (12 reviews)
    - Price has gone up but good wines & cider
    Spent < 1 hour Wineries & Vineyards
    Grand View Winery image
Located next door to Cold Hollow Cider Mill the wines are actually blended by Boyden Valley Winery in Cambridge, Vermont. They charge $10 for 7 tastings and give you a wine glass. In CA this summer they charged $10 but refunded it if you purchased a bottle. I wound up buying 4 but was still charged the fee, a bit cheap if you ask me. The wines included a Glogg similar to German Gluehwein. A blueberry too dry for my tastes but I did like the Cassis, Vermont Ice Red and the Vermont Ice Maple Crème, like a Bailey's made with maple syrup. The person working there seemed very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I believe he either works at the winery or is an owner so that made a difference from a diffident shop employee. We had a great time talking and sipping. See more..

The tasting room still features all of the original woodwork, an absolutely incredible piece of local history. Friendly staff and excellent wines. We took home two bottles of their peach dessert wine for ourselves and a bottle of their Vermont Apple wine for a house warming gift. See more..
