We typically arrange for a European cycling tour each year, but this year we were stymied by Covid, so we decided to stay in the US. We came across InntoInn.com and it looked appealing. The ten of us in our group decided this trip would be a reasonable distance from Maryland, and thus a great alternative. We took the tour in the third week of August at a time when Vermont encountered a hurricane and a weather advisory. Our first biking day was rained out so we toured Woodstock, VT, a pleasant alternative. After that, we were able to have five days of rain-free biking. We biked most days to a new destination (B&B), while one day we simply biked a loop back to our B&B for a second night. The tours are highly configurable. The lodging (B&B's), and restaurants, the routes, and the organization of the trip were all above our expectations. We would highly recommend. We averaged about 35 miles a day, but other length rides were available. Most of the rides were on back roads with little traffic. Kudos to Seth for his oversight and coordination of our trip. Vermont Bike & Brew's Harpoon Brewery Tour was a memorable experience marked by scenic views, yummy lunch, and a good workout, capped off with great beer flights and snacks at Harpoon Brewery! The e-bikes were in mint condition, easy to use, and definitely helped some of the steeper hills of the backroads that gave us remarkable views of the mountains and the start of the foliage season. Lunch at Brownsville Butcher & Pantry was a great midpoint stop for our 10 a.m.-2 p.m. ride (we recommend the fried chicken sandwich and kale grain bowl). Ending the tour at Harpoon Brewery with beer flights (and snacks) was a wonderful way to decompress from the nearly 30-mile bike ride. Jonas (owner of Vermont Bike & Brew) was fantastic from the beginning, going above and beyond with his customer service, communication, and friendliness. We highly recommend Vermont Bike & Brew and hope we can do another one in the future! See more..
  3. 5.0 Lamoille Valley Bike Tours (44 reviews)
    - Very Highly Recommended

A wonderful experience and great people. I've done this about six times. The scenery is beautiful and you experience it at the rate you want. With ebikes you can have a group of people at varying levels of ability and still stick together. If part of the reason you are here in VT is for beer, then this experience is perfect -- you can take off from Johnson, go to the (current) end of the trail past Morrisville, turn around then on the way back stop at Lost Nation, which has a wide and excellent selection of beer and full menu. Most important, the owners and employees have been consistently kind. At one point the guy waited around an additional two hours past closing time because one member of our group had a problem. They are expanding the trail soon and these folks may offer a multi-day experience. Can't wait! See more..

The team at Rikert loves what they do. From the welcoming, cozy lodge to the beautifully groomed trails, they pour so much time and energy into making this a wonderful resource for the community. I loved skiing at Rikert during my four years at Middlebury, and I continue to love visiting Rikert to cheer at the carnivals or ski a few loops of my own. It has been amazing to watch Rikert evolve and improve over the past five years, and I know the staff will continue to make it a first-class venue and beautiful place to ski. Thank you! See more..
