The team at Rikert loves what they do. From the welcoming, cozy lodge to the beautifully groomed trails, they pour so much time and energy into making this a wonderful resource for the community. I loved skiing at Rikert during my four years at Middlebury, and I continue to love visiting Rikert to cheer at the carnivals or ski a few loops of my own. It has been amazing to watch Rikert evolve and improve over the past five years, and I know the staff will continue to make it a first-class venue and beautiful place to ski. Thank you! See more..

Timber Creek Cross Country Ski Area image
I will not be able to do Timber Creek justice in my review. The owner, Kelly, takes great pride in Timber Creek and it shows. I took a cross country ski lesson with Joy. There was another woman in the lesson, we were both at different places, but this did not phase Joy. She was easily able to effectively direct us both and provided an excellent lesson. The trails were well groomed and both the cross country ski and the snow shoe trails are checked throughout the day for debris on the trails and to make sure everyone is okay. Kelly, Joy, and another worker (I think her name was Melanie) were all super nice, knowledgeable, and directed me well in terms of where to snow shoe and answered questions about cross county skiing (I’m a novice). The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. The firepit was running all day and Kelly was constantly ensuring it was going strong. See more..
