We had the most wonderful time on a classic sloop called Friend Ship yesterday sailing with Diddy and Yeo out of Burlington, VT. After a quick, but thorough safety talk, we set sail on what the Captain called a “Goldilocks”day with perfect wind conditions. Diddy and Yeo worked seamlessly together to give us the smoothest sail we have ever experienced. The 2 hr trip was filled with interesting facts and lore about Lake Champlain and the surrounding area. We ate our lunch and then enjoyed putting our feet in the water as we explored the lake. If you plan on visiting the Burlington area, we highly recommend making a reservation online. We got one of the last time slots available for the week we visited so reserve early and don’t miss out. We were spending a awesome afternoon on the lake when our boat broke down, it was just about 4pm when we determined we needed help. Contacted High Country Marine. We were told they would have to launch a boat to tow us back to the ramp and it would take a little time. They were there to help within 1/2 hour, they first tried to see what was wrong with our engine and ended up towing us back for a very reasonable price. Boat Rentals
Rented a pontoon boat on Lake Bomoseen in the month of August along with a tube. My son and his friend had a great time on the lake. Also us adults enjoyed trolling around the lake all day long stopping to look at house and take a dip. Nothing beats being on a boat on this Lake. Great service from Woodards and would definitely rent again. The rental manager even came by our rental one day before a large storm was coming in to make sure we had the boat secured to dock properly. I would highly recommend. See more..
