Took a Quechee segway tour led by the creator of the Vermont Toy Museum. Highly recommend visiting both. The Toy Museum brought me back to my childhood and you could even purchase some of the collectibles!!!! Fun for all ages. Loved the model train, too! Donation based entry, and I would pay to go again! See more..
  3. 4.5 Wonderfeet Kids Museum (14 reviews)
    - Children's Museum/Activity Center
    Spent 1-2 hours Children's Museums
    Wonderfeet Kids Museum image
Wonderfeet is a great little place to bring young children. In its new location, activity centers have been added. There is a play diner with "pizza oven" for kids to play chef and learn to order and pay for food. A photosensitive wall has been added... kids can "draw" on the walls with flashlights. They are expanding and as of now they have the following: a creative center for drawing and crafts; build your own log cabin; a gravity track for wooden balls; a play farmers market to shop; a kinetic sand table; a toddlers-only play area; an over-sized styro-foam tinker-toy area. In the 15 or so times we've been there, we have yet to see a bored child... our boy loves it. And it is great when visiting town and especially in bad weather. A real life saver at times; a real bargain. Take your kids... you'll be thankful you did. See more..

    Walker Contemporary image
Est. 2007 Born and raised in Vermont, Stephanie Walker, owner, Walker Contemporary, has 18 years of experience as a contemporary art dealer. Walker began her career at a gallery specializing in 19th & 20th century American impressionist work and then became the Director of a contemporary art gallery on Newbury Street in Boston, where she remained for almost ten years. Before opening her own gallery in Boston in 2008, Walker spent a year living in Los Angeles; traveling all over the country, especially up and down the West coast to fairs, galleries and artists’ studios. It was a pivotal opportunity that solidified and deepened her passion for working with contemporary art and artists. After three years in Boston, Walker moved operations to her home state of Vermont and opened Walker Contemporary in Waitsfield. Walker is deeply committed to the advancement of outstanding contemporary art through the promotion of dedicated, innovative and passionate, emerging and mid-career artists who push the limits of both material and process in order to challenge and inspire the way we see. The gallery is located in historic Waitsfield Village in the beautiful green mountains of Vermont. See more..
