I went bass fishing with Matt on two afternoons as part of a trip to Stowe, Vermont. We caught some smallmouth bass the first outing and largemouth bass on the second outing. Matt really knows how to find and catch bass in this area, so he is a great fishing guide for the local area. Best part of the trip was taking my 14 year old daughter, who liked it so much, she wanted to go out a third time and fish some more. She had done very little fishing prior to the trips, and learned quickly how to cast and successfully catch some fish. Highly recommended.See more..

Our family recently went on a 6 hour charter fishing trip with Captain Bill & his wife. The fish (Lake Trout) were moving to deeper water, so we didn't catch many, but we each caught one. It was great to be out on the lake though, and the Captain and his wife were very nice. We learned a lot about trout fishing, and the captain even filleted our fish for us.See more..

My son and I took a 4 1/2 hour fishing trip on Lake Champlain on 8/13 morning. Matt trombley was the captain. He could not have been more helpful. He has a completely outfitted boat, provides fishing gear and and easily was able to get us onto fish in no time. I went ice-fishing with Fred for 2 days. One day was slow but the other produced many fish & several species. Fred is a great guide, easy going, and fun to fish with. He is the only guy I know anywhere that offers guided rabbit hunts. I will probably go back later on & do a combo ice fishing-rabbit hunting trip for 3 or 4 days. Just got through eating some of the fish. Those little yellow perch were delicious. Vermont is a long way from my home in Texas, but Fred & his friends at the Brookside B&B made me feel at home for a couple days. Thanks Fred. Go get some rabbits.See more..
If you like to fish Lake Champlain is the bomb. Went out with Capt. Adam and caught a bunch of smallies. Including my personal best a 4lb. Great fight. The rest were all 2-3 lbs. At the end of the day we targeted pan fish ,caught a lot of slab size sunfish. And some nice perch. Next day we went out with Capt. Brian ,Adams brother. Looking for Lake trout. We were not disappointed. The three of us landed about 15 lakers. The largest was 12 lbs. Not only did they put us on fish ,but for $5 a fish they will process the fish and vaccum pack them. I almost forgot to mention first mate Schyler. This guy was amazing . Adjusting the downriggers is a constant job working 5 rods. Tip this guy big time. This is a family run business. They also have a restaurant. I know I'll be back again and look these guys up.See more..
